Pass on it......... 8/22/2004

Too many other good Thai places to eat here; the food was way too salty, bean sauce flat and the peanut sauce tasted like the chef simply dumped a bunch of flour in Skippy peanut butter and melted it. I hope I caught them on an off night, but we did try three dishes, and only the Tom Yum soup was palatable (though also too salty). more

Panang Curry Tofu 9/12/2003

I absolutely fell in love with thier panang curry. I've had it for lunch each week for as long as I can remember. As a vegitarian it hard sometimes to find a lace that is ""just right"" They prepare everything perfect and there is some left for tomorrow. Pros: Inexpensive, Variety, Delicious Cons: Parking , Location more

""Down Home"" Chicken Curry 12/30/2002

BEST PEANUT SAUCE EVER!! If you want inexpensive, quaint, romantic & a great view of Belmont & the #15 - you will find all of that at Bangkok Kitchen. Order ahead and pick up after work. On a busy night, you might expect a wait of 20 minutes - be sure to order extra peanut sauce. Mom makes it in the back using her own special recipe. It's the best! ENJOY! Pros: inexpensive, romantic, quiet more

REAL THAI!!! 9/27/2002

okay, it's more than real. Authentic can taste good or bad, and these people are definitely doing the former. Every dish i've ever had here has been wonderful. I have been all over portland trying ma and pa Thai shops and some chains, and the hot and sour at this place is something remotely wonderful that can't even be compared to the vinegar water that others are peddling. Even something as bland as egg flower they turn into a tasty treat. Just beware, when they say hot, they really mean it. I dock them a point because, just by chance there might be something better, i doubt i'll ever find time to try it though with this place around. Great food, great prices, great people. Go get some!!! Pros: cheap 4.95 lunch!!, good - taste -ohhhhh, the hot is h-o-t, HOT Cons: parking, :P more

It really is the best pad thai ever 6/25/2002

If you love Pad Thai Don't settle for anything less than the best Thai resturant and it is Bangkok Kitchen. Their pad thai is the best I have ever eaten. You can order beef chicken or my favorite tofu and vegetables. It comes in mild medeum and Spicy I recomend the medeum spice but for those who dare the spicy is at the least eye watering. There fried rice is to die for the rice is infused with savory fresh flavors. There are many other delights on the menu to try them out, I Personally gaurntee an awsome meal. : ) MMMMMMMMMMM Pros: super Cheep, Fresh taste more
