Bellmore Taxi Assn

The day after the blizzard of 2010, I called Bellmore taxi to see if they had a car available NO PROBLEM, i was told and they took the info. I needed them to pick up at 7 AM and it was 5:50 when I called. At 7:05 when they weren't there I called to see how much longer and I was rudely told that they didn't have a car and they couldn't pick up someone who lived in Merrick to go to the station. I should have been told that when I first called. Will never use them again. TOTALLY UNRELIABLE more

we use this service when we go to the airport several time each year. they are safe and reliable. our children use this service to go to school and to their friends houses when we are unable to take them. thier prices are very competitive and the dispatch service is friendly and very helpful. they have even suggested using other services when they know the are not the cheapest. we have many friends and neighbors that have also used this service and are very satisfied. i dont know what taxi company this other reviewer is talking about. more

This is perhaps the worst taxi service we have ever used, and we've lived in NY for over 10 years. Our bad experiences with them happened a few times over a couple months (we now refuse to use them), so it's not an isolated incident with one cranky driver having a bad day. They often get directions wrong, then argue with the passenger when they come to the wrong place! They will also often make passengers wait 10 or 15 minutes to get other passengers--picking up multiple passengers (and each passenger paying full fare for their own destination) is the norm for suburban taxis, but it can turn what would be a 3-minute taxi ride into a 20 or 30-minute trip. When my wife took them, the drivers would drive away at a crawl, obviously scoping out where she was actually going, which left her with a creepy feeling of being watched.
