I was highly surprised to see the comment about the student complaining about not being able to go to her car, etc. Sounds like she isn't really serious about learning a profession. This school, as a patron has always been where I want to go because of the professional standards. If I went to a school where someone like that student was, there would be more like her or him. Not desirable...and I'm sure I would not be the only one that wouldn't return. I haven't been there for too long, and was just looking for business hours, I wish they were posted, maybe something to consider? more

Coming to this school was life changing for me! I met great girls and have developed lasting friendships! I really felt like my teachers(Ms.Simon) and staff(Ms.Martinez) cared about me! They really took an interest. This is a SCHOOL and you are there to LEARN! So YES there are rules. But if you do your work and try and give it your all this is the perfect way to get a Skin care education with out having to pay five times as much to attend some other schools that dont prep you for what you need. This school really focuses on making sure that you pass your state boards and actually gives you a mock exam to let you know what you need to work on. And it's great to talk to the seniors of the class because you get to learn from there mistakes or success! They always have guest speakers in so you can experience other product lines and know what options are out there for you. The school also works with Dermalogica so you learn the skin care industries most used product line!! And they take feild trips to dermalogica so you get to experience what they are all about! I seriously can not say enough. I still visit regulary to get advice ask questions and talk about what im doing. Which is great because they always take the time to listen! I LOVE this school, and im on my way to becoming a great skin care therapist because they helped me! more

Im curently attending bellflower adult school of cosmetology.Its very strict with ATTENDENCE, uniforms,cellphones, and smoking.I was also able to pre apply for my stateboard exam 3 months before graduation,that way by the time i graduate i only wait two weeks intead of 3 months. i have taken a mock board test which help me prepared for my real stateboard test, this school is the only school who offers a mock board test and pre applies you for the stateboard exam .Cosmetology school is all about stateboard procedures.We learn all the basics of haircoloring, haircutting,thermal styling,make-up, ect. My instuctors have taught me alot , now its up to me to continue learning and getting experience. Pros: best school to learn how to pass stateboard. Cons: no cellphones more

i attended the esthitcs course at bellflower.my teacher mrs simon is burnt out and not up to date on anything newer or up and coming in the business.almost everything i learned technique and procedure wise was taught to me by fellow senior students.she sat behind her desk and was out of the room the majority of my attendance.when i tried to complain to the director mrs martinez,along with every single student in the classroom we were all talked over told we were children and got screamed at.on top of that if you dont want that good of an education your treated like a prisoner.your not allowed a cellphone on campus period or u will be sent home,if your a smoker your made to walk 2 blocks away to smoke,your not allowed to walk to the paking lot to get something from your car if u forgot it and you do go they will send you home.in closing if u want crappy education for the price you pay and to be treated like your in highschool /prison then go here.this school sux!!! more
