I am a dance instructor and underarms need to be clean. For various reasons I never tried waxing and shaving gave me a not so greatof a result. I had researched off and on on wax...

Candyce is absolutely fabulous. I have been going to Candyce for almost 8 years and followed her to Bella. Her attention to detail results in perfect brows every time (I trust no one else with my brows). Her facials are rejuvenating and relaxing. The room is calm, serene and clean. Candyce is a must see!!! more

Microdermabrasion Wonder 3/10/2005

I suffered serious acne for more than a year and trust me when I say that I've tried EVERYTHING in the market: consulting dermatologists, proactiv, you name it and I could tell you that it had very minimal or no effect. Sandra, the miracle worker as I would call her, had suggested that I try microdermabrasion and now I swear by it. It improved my skin's texture and appearance, one treatment will give you an instant smoothness but you'll require more than one to clear up problems such as acne and others. But she'll clear you up just as she cleared my skin up, my self confidence escalated and I have Sandra to thank for that. Pros: Satisfactory Results, Amazing Staff more

Upon my first experience getting a facial, I was frightened. I didnt know what to expect. Thankfully Sandra, with the grace and ease of an angel, performed her magic. She made me feel comfortable and never uneasy. The atmosphere was unbelievably relaxing. I had the diamond facial and felt the results instantly. When consulting with Sandra about my treatment she never pushed anything onto me like, such as products or more treatments, like most of the places I had been before had. She was honest and so helpful with all her suggestions. She showed true concern as she even gave me a follow up phone call the next day to see how my skin was reacting to the treatment I recevied. The experience was great and I continue to travel from the North Shore to Newton for her facials. It's so worth it. Pros: friendly staff, good parking more

I've never been compelled to internet review before, but candyce deserves some public praise. i just had my first appt with her and am POSITIVE this is the best my eyebrows have ever looked. i'll be back again and again... i also have to recommend her for brazilians-- her ebullient nature set me at ease (KEY for any first-timers), and she's quick AND thorough, a priceless combination. bella skin is a find... The Best Brazilian Bikini Wax 3/3/2005

I've been going to Bella for two years now and I have sent so many of my friends to get their Brazilian bikini wax. Sandra is just amazing: Professional, cool, friendly and definitely knows what she is doing. I would recomment Bella Spa without any hesitation. Candyce is the best esthetician you could ever hope for. She's extremely professional, does a perfect job every time, makes you feel comfortable and puts you at ease, and really cares about her clients. I won't see anyone else! The spa's atmosphere is peaceful, unpretentious, and relaxing - this is hands down the best spa I've been to in the Boston area. Pros: professional, atmosphere, great value more

I strongly agree ... Candyce has a presence that immediately makes you feel comfortable. It's been 9 years that she has been my ""waxing event"" coordinator ... she is even a line item on my monthly budget. No doubt, your brows will be the best ever with her graceful detail. But, there is so much more to Candyce's talent, as if fabulous brows isn't enough. I also see Candyce for bikini and facials. Her custom facials take you away and result in radiant, younger looking skin. Candyce isn't just another esthetician, she's effortless and truly cares about her client's satisfaction ... it's obvious by her loyal following. Enjoy! more

She takes the time to understand what you are looking for so you will leave happy. Exceptional 11/3/2004

Bella Skin is hands down the best salon I have ever been to. Not only was I embarrassed and uncomfortable at the idea of having a Brazilian wax done by a woman I had never met, I was worried about the condition of my skin afterwards - I did NOT want to shock my date... I was familiar with the Russian ladies and their bubbling cauldrons of (beeswax?) and so had heard and lived the horror stories - this was completely different. A different wax, a different application no cloth strips, an outstanding aesthetician who understood skin, maintenance and pain management - I barely even flinched. This experience simply cannot be compared to what I think people out there know and hear of Brazilians. Sandra was courteous, PROFESSIONAL beyond belief, she talked me through the whole thing and put me completely at ease, I would recommend this salon to ANYONE. Pros: Clean, Professional, Can Park more

Best Spa in Boston 10/21/2004

Sandra Lima is just wonderful. From waxing to facials she does everything professionally and with expert knowledge. I have been to many facial places in both Boston and New York and found Sandra's knowledge to outshine them all. I was already happy with my skin when I started going there before my wedding and found that with Sandra's help I could have even better skin. Great Facial 3/9/2004

I found Bella on city search and it was rated so high so I decided to go everyone spoke so highly. I enjoyed the free parking I am used to paying in Boston I was welcomed the moment I walked in I thought that was great no attitudes!! I thought my facial was good I just wish they had more of a selection of services such a limited menu to choose from on their web site and so many different skin types and needs I hope I got the best one for my skin. Maybe they will add some new facials in the future. Pros: Free Parking, Good Location, No attitudes!!! more

Best Spa in Boston 3/8/2004

I have been to almost every spa on Newbury St. and beyond. I ended up at Bella Skin b/c of the ratings on citysearch and every aspect of the place exceeded my expectations! I have received facials, dermabrasion, waxings, etc. each time the staff was curteous, professional and simply amazing. Facials last 90 minutes, try getting that anywhere else without paying through the roof!!! Lastly they will explain to you a good routine for your skin, without pushing products on you. This place is not to be missed, great value, definitely worth the 10 minute drive...and FREE PARKING!!! Pros: Clean, Relaxing, Friendly more

Facial 3/7/2004

I went in for a facial I had heard good things about Bella from surfing the Web, I drove from about 40 minutes away I felt my skin and good service was worth the drive!! Everyone was so kind when I arrived but I felt kind of rushed threw my facial I was 15 minutes early so it wasnt like I was late. Then I felt like my skin was hopeless and I thought I took good care of it I am only 29. Dont get me wrong my skin felt great but it was not worth the drive to spend just under $100.00 and feel rushed in and out in under 90minutes total. for a clearer skin 2/10/2004

I have been struggled for years for my acne problem and tried a lot of skincare products, after spent $$$ on it and only found things getting worse than ever, I went to Bella for help and I'm glad I made the right desicion. After several clear peels my skin have less breakouts and feels much smoother, and the scars and dark spots caused by old breakouts are less visible everyday. though I don't have flawless skin now, I know I'm on the right track this time. I'll recommend Bella to anyone who suffers from acnes and other skin problems, because from my own experience regular facial is more effective then expensive skincare products for at least stress related acnes. more
