Bedford Plaza Hotel - Boston

I did not expect much based on the low rate that we were able to book this hotel for. It has a wonderful open indoor garden pool area. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The service...especially at the front desk was exceptional. Great bargain--especially for the Boston metro area-- with a touch of class. more

Stayed three nights and would definitely choose it again. Good starting point in the outskirts of Boston, really safe neighborhood, supermarket across the street. Secure parking in basement. Rooms were spacious and clean, with microwave and fridge. Reception staff helpful and well informed and organized. Felt this was well worth my money and I plan to go back again next fall. Very unique location and style! You can tell the establishment is working very hard to get improvements done ASAP, and has been growing and trying to improve. This is always a good sign! Not at all near the airport and downtown, but that's what was so nice--easy to Highway 95 and that was enough for me! Nice pool, nice food spread each day. Yes they are working on repairs but that's life!! What I really liked about this place was that within immediate walking distance I could get anything I needed. Great homemade pizza across the street, a gas station, McDonalds, other eateries, and a place to get your nails and hair done. Down the road a bit?? Marshalls and TJMax and Staples...I felt this was really great for those needs at a walking distance! more

I liked this hotel, complementary hot breakfast, nice in door swimming pool, free parking, coffee machine was on all night, computer in the eating area to check your e-mail, the rooms were nice and clean, the staff was very nice, had a bar with a pool table, hotel was near I 95 and was about 17 miles to downtown Boston, one exit away on I 95 was the Burlington Mall with many restaurants near by. When I'm in the Boston area I will stay at this hotel again. more

I will always remember this as a wonderful vacation. PS the breakfast was also very good and again what better way to save money than a free meal every day more

Totally decent place to stay: surprisingly tricked out with amenities-cash machine, banquet hall, workout room indoor pool, courtyard. more

Clean room good staff and love every moment of the hotel . has all the ammmenties from indoor heated pool fully stock bar and very accesbile to good resturants . more

The hotel has a great indoor pool and the dining area is more than big enough to accomodate all who ejoyed the free hot breakfast we enjoyed each day. (Coffee, tea, juice, bagels, eggs, muffins, bacon, potatoes, cereal, fruit salad, etc.) Tom does it all - front desk, bar, and an all-around great guy, as is Chris. We didn't worry about our car, as tge indoor garage is adjacent to the hotel door and was extremely safe. more

My wife and I really loved this hotel actually. The room was clean. The pool was really great. The parking was top notch. The reviews scared my wife, but she said she couldn't understand why people were so downright mean more

The staff was very helpful and provided excellent service. The room and bed were clean with no smell at all. The water in the pool was clear and very warm (even a little bit too much). more

When I looked for an afordable, safe (very important), and clean hotel (no bedbugs), in Massachusetts with easy access to Boston,, the Bedford looked as if it would be a good fit. I was very glad I chose the Bedford. The room was very comfortable and the beds provided a great sleep after the phenominal sightseeing in Boston each day. In our first room, the tub did not drain well, No problem, Chris immediately changed our room! The hotel has a great indoor pool and the dining area is more than big enough to accomodate all who ejoyed the free hot breakfast we enjoyed each day. (Coffee, tea, juice, bagels, eggs, muffins, bacon, potatoes, cereal, fruit salad, etc.) Tom does it all - front desk, bar, and an all-around great guy, as is Chris. We didn't worry about our car, as tge indoor garage is adjacent to the hotel door and was extremely safe. The train is about a teninute drive to the Alewife station and train parking is $7 for the entire day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families, couples and sightseers all. I was told that the hotel rugs are being changed next month as well as the rooms are to be renovated, which will make this hotel an even greater value for the money. Tom, Chris, the cleaning and day staff make the Bedford much more than I expected. I would definitely stay again. The country area was also a very big plus and you can't beat that clean air. more
