Over the last few years, especially since we stopped eating meat for the most part, we have been making wild Alaskan salmon a regular part of our diet. I started making salmon burgers, and experimenting with different ingredients to improve the recipe. I had been using the cans of wild Alaskan salmon found commonly in the supermarkets and spending hours removing the bones and skin to use the meat of the salmon. My friend introduced me to Bear and Wolf boneless and skinless wild Alaskan Salmon. I thought there would still be some bones to remove but was pleasantly surprised to find only the salmon meat. This cut the preparation time to a fraction of what it was before. The salmon was delicious and of a very high quality. There was a bit more sodium than I would have liked so I rinsed the salmon in a collander and placed it on clean paper towels to remove the extra moisture. The burgers were delicious, the best I ever made. It was so easy that I will be able to make them more often. It can be found in Costco in packs of six cans the size of Tuna fish cans.
