The Beachmoor Restaurant & Inn, Buzzards Bay 10/2/2010

I don't where some of the reviews that you have published are coming from, but I can tell you my experience at the Beachmoor was absolutely the BEST!\r I had my daughter's wedding of 225 at the Beachmoor on 9/5/10 and it was absolutely fabulous! Rita Pacheco runs a top notch ship, the staff of 30 were beyond belief and the food was fantastic. I couldn't have wished for more more beautiful location or view. I never thought I'd be receiving ""thank you"" notes from guests telling me ""I've never been to a better wedding."" They couldn't say enough good things about the location and specifically Rita and her staff and how attentative they were the needs of our guests. What more can I ... I'd recommend the Beachmoor to anyone that wants top notch service and an absolutely fabulous experience!\r more

Another Dreadful Beachmoor experience 9/5/2009

In the past we have dined three or four times each summer at the Beachmoor. The food is passable and the portions are small but the view from the deck is wonderful. Each time we call for reservations, if we ask for 6:30 on the deck they we say they only have 6:00 available. If we ask for 7:00, they only have 6:30. Yet we have been seated at 6:30 and at 7:00 less than half the tables on the deck are occupied. The last time we called for 6:30 and were told they could seat us at 6:00 on the deck. When we arrived the owner tried to show us to another section and we told her we had requested the deck. She said that she did not have it down on her reservation sheet but if we wanted to have a seat at the bar that maybe someone would not show up and she would be able to seat us on the deck!! We left and told her we would not be back. \r \r Earlier in the summer, when my daughter was looking into beach front wedding venues, I told her to call the Beachmoor. She said that when she called to inquire the owner told her that if she had looked on their website she would have found all the information. She said she was very abrupt and rude and she did not feel she could deal with her. I am so thankful, after reading the previous comments about the dreadful wedding experience at the Beachmoor, that she did not pursue it. This woman does not have a clue about customer service. I’m glad to see, after reading the numerous online comments here and at other sites, that I am not the only one who feels this way.\r Pros: Wonderful view Cons: THE OWNER more

Where are they? 7/9/2008

We wanted to have Sunday brunch, as advertised on their web site. Called earlier; an answering machine asked us to leave our request. We requested a reservation. No one ever returned our call - EVER. We went there anyway, to find that despite signs that said that they were open from11:30 on, the entire place was deserted. There is no email address to contact anyone, just the telephone number, which we presume would lead to the same answering machine. If they are going to close, they should at least put that information on their message. Pros: Looks like a nice location; seems to be a good menu Cons: Would be nice if it were open when advertised more

Worst customer service I've ever experiences 9/12/2007

I have stayed at many places over the years, and this was definitely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Some friends of ours got married there, and my boyfriend was the best man. The wedding party rented all the rooms for the night. The bride requested specific bed sizes for each person based on whether or not they had a date with them. We were supposed to have a full bed, but were placed in a very dull/ugly room that seemed like it was for kids with 2 twin beds. When we asked to be switched before anyone else got there, the innkeeper refused telling us it was already assigned (even though it said right on the paper next to our names, FULL) and told us to talk to the bride about it (less than an hour before the wedding).\r \r Anyone who is not a registered guest in not allowed ever to go upstairs. She insisted we all had keys and insisted we lock everything, but then never gave us keys (I had to beg the bartender for one later, which he made all of us share). She got mad at the groom when he asked if some of the kids could come up to a room and be supervised, saying she had already told someone about that (neither the bride nor the groom knew about this). \r \r They didn't have enough chairs for people, so almost half of the guests had to stand in the wet grass during the ceremony. They rented the place until 9 pm, and the bartenders told everyone the bar closed at 9, and when we went to get a drink at 8:40, they told us the bar was closed. \r \r For the price that was paid for our room, not only as it the wrong room, but it was terrible. The shower was tiny and the shower curtain as well as the drapes on the window in the shower were soaked and sucked into the shower, so you were stuck to the curtains the whole time. \r \r I do not recommend this place for anything, besides maybe dinner. They seemed to have nice food. more
