On the water 4/15/2006

Beaches is a great place to go to get together with friends or for parties. They are great at handling large groups of people and will allow you to make reservations. The waits can be very long on the weekends, up to an hour or two. The view of the river is great and there are some nice tables outside. The food is very good. I was disappointed that there was a very good pasta dish that I loved that they removed from the menu for some reason. I would recommend going some time other than Friday or Saturday night. more

Wonderful location, okay food 10/8/2005

When I went to Beaches I was so impressed by the location--you really feel like you are at the beach. The views of the Columbia are amazing from any seat in the house. I went for lunch during the week and the restaurant was pretty crowded, so I can't even imagine how it could get during busier hours. I ordered clam chowder and wasn't impressed, it reminded me more of canned clam chowder than what should be restaurant quality. I would give this place another chance due to the great service and the positive aspects mentioned above, but I wasn't overwhelmingly impressed to begin with. more

This is a great place to eat. Located on the Columbia River, they offer inside and outside dining. The riverfront walking trail connects to Beaches and is a great place to walk off your dinner. We received personalized service, enjoyed the upbeat atmosphere, and ate excellent food. I thought the prices were a bit high, but oh well... more

Great Food, Great Location, Gets BUSY 7/26/2005

If you are not there early, you will have a very long wait to be seated. So make reservations! The food is great, and the waitress we had was excellent. She was fast, friendly, and kept our drinks coming. I love the location (near the Columbia river) and and ambiance is a fun atmosphere. Overall a great date place. I wouldn't recommend taking the kids. more

Best in Vancouver! 6/24/2005

Beaches has the best happy hour in the metro area. I can't talk it up enough. Get there 4-6 or 10-11 Monday-Friday for some very good eats, but be prepared to deal with a crowd. Their regular menu is also very good: lots of seafood, American-fare, and always something Asian-inspired. Desserts are fabulous. This place is almost always crowded, so make a reservation if you can. more
