Beautiful Place for a Stroll 8/20/2005

The Bayard Cutting Arboretum is a fantastic place to visit, especially in the spring when most flowers and trees are blooming. I highly recommend checking out not only the mansion, but all of the different walks and trails at the park, as each features a different variety of flowers and trees. I especially enjoy the walks near the water, where there are park benches every few feet so that you can sit and enjoy the scenery. Or, bring a blanket and enjoy some time in the shade on one of the great lawns. more

Spend the day at this beautiful park 8/18/2005

This 690 acre park is located on the Connetquot River. While walking through this park, you will notice it is home to many fir, spruce, pine, cypress, hemlock and other conifers. The ponds and streams are surrounded by rhododendron, azaleas, wildflowers and daffodils. So bring your lunch, have a picnic and enjoy all this park has to offer. more
