My husband and I have eaten at Bay Grill a couple of times since moving to the Frisco area from NC and have never been disappointed. I enjoy using City Search to find good restaurants and chose Bay Grill for a dinner while our families were in town specifically for the redfish.My husband is from Florida and his absolute favorite fish is redfish which he used to catch outside his house. We have tried numerous appetizers such as the jumbo crab cake, crab dip, and ahi tuna--all were fantastic. We have both had redfish, macadamia crusted mahi mahi, and the salmon--all wonderful dishes along with the sides such as hushpuppies and the lemon-thyme orzo. The mojitos are also amazing!!! We plan on going sometime soon for their $4.99 spaghetti and meatball special. If you love fish you definitely need to try the Bay Grill--it IS Frisco's best kept secret. I have been a regular customer of BayGrill since it opened a year ago and I am never disappointed at this one of a kind restaurant. Anyone going to BayGrill thinking it's just another fried fish chain restaurant is sadly missing the point. Their advertisement boast that they're 'So Much More Than Fresh Grilled Seafood' and you can take that to heart! They feature weekly specials of seasonal fish in addition to a rather extensive menu of seafood and non seafood items. Recently, I had fresh grouper cooked in parchment with a tropical fruit salsa. My date had filet mignon topped with crab meat and grilled shrimp. While the date was a bust, the meal was fabulous! My team (from a nearby business) likes to meet in their bar on Friday evenings for Mojito Madness....the best mojios in town ($5) with the unique choice of blackberry or mango mojitos! The mint comes from the owner's garden! Sometimes the owner brings out food for us to sample. One week we had minature homemade meatballs that were unbelievable! Since then I've become a big fan of their spaghetti and meatballs! I've taken out whole Key Lime pies for business meetings and people won't leave the room until they get a second piece! BayGrill's atmosphere is casual with a sophisticated adult edge that you cannot find in the metroplex. This is a great hang-out and a WONDERFUL restaurant! Well worth the drive for anyone contemplating destination dining! Their website does a good job of portraying the restaurant. Pros: Quality and Value Cons: Ill behaved local children!!! more

We are on BayGrill's email list and are always amazed by their specials. We took the family in for Mother's day and had a great dining experience. I had the grilled halibut with papaya-mango salsa. It was outstanding. Other people at the table had crusted cedar plank salmon, baked sea bass with lobster risotto, and a steakhouse quality ribeye all of which were equally as good. Service was attentive and friendly. We eat at BayGrill regularly and always have a nice time. Desserts are great also. This is the best kept secret in the Plano/Frisco area. more

We ordered some food for a home party from Bay grill and it was delicious - the bacon wrapped shrimp was a huge success and tasted great and the steak filets were perfect, moist and juicy. My wife and I live in Frisco and we were turned on to this restaurant by our neighbors. We come to this restaurant about once a month. Pros: great food, awesome price, great service Cons: they could probably make the place bigger more

This Mother's Day, we tried to eat at BayGrill. As our family approached the restaurant, we saw a sign that reading ""Happy Mother's Day!"" When we entered, we were treated well (in my opinion) and our appetizer was great. But when we ordered, the food was taking much longer to be served than you would normally expect. My brother, who has severe autism, was getting pretty impatient. He was hungry, and he took his shoes off, which would not normally cause any trouble, but the same lady who greeted us apparently has no tolerance for differences. She approached my mother and whispered in her ear to put my brother's shoes back on his feet. Our family would not have minded her asking my brother to put his shoes on by saying, ""Hey buddy, do you mind putting your shoes back on?"" But she had to be rude about it. My father, who wasn't being much less impatient about getting our food late than my brother, stood up and we left the restaurant. About the only good thing we got out of this restaurant was eating a great appetizer for free. more

Worst experience I have had in decades. Do not spend your hard earned dollars in this establishment. It is not worth it. The entire experience was mediocre at best. The owners (who are supposedly experienced in the resteraunt business) have a flawed value proposition: Bad service, Bad food, Bad environment... result out of business. My experience is the owners believe they are better than those who they claim to serve. Enough Said! more

My wife and I were not big fish eaters, but BayGrill is not just another place for fish. I would easily drive 30 miles for the Special Salmon Dish they serve on a Cedar Plank! Absolutely Incredible. The fish is so fresh, you order it cooked whatever the way you desire, just like the way you order a Prime Steak from a first class Steak House. more

Don't let the starkness fool you. The decor is simple, the food is anything but ---The Baygrill has unbelievable entrees and it has quickly become one of our favorite spots. It is modorately priced with a great wine list. The two dishes that are a must are the Chrispy Redfish and the Cedar Plank Salmon. more

Tried it on a Tuesday night so it was not crowded at all. The service was good and fast. We had the crab cake which costs 12.00 not worth it. It tasted great except it was cold.... We also tried the jumbo shrimp which we were warned is hot. That was not a problem since we like spicy food, but that is all they were there was no taste it needs something more. My companion had the steak which again was average. The Peach Cobbler was the best part of the meal ""Outstanding""... I would not go out of my way to eat here again for the price there are better places. Pros: Desserts and good customer service Cons: Food is average more

Love your restaurant! Beautiful, quaint, and modern decor! The seafood is wonderful. Had the chef's mixed grill with cedar plank salmon, spicy bbq shrimp, and perfectly seared scallops! Our cute little server was knowledgeable, attentive and spunky! Great wine list and nicely priced too. Had a glass of the Newton chardonnay that complimented my dinner perfectly! My server recommended the key lime pie for desert- it was delictable! We will definitely make your restaurant one of our regular dining destinations! more
