most comfortable gym I've ever been in 6/8/2007

It is very expensive, but it is truly the most comfortable gym I've ever been in. Plus, you do not have to agree to a full year committment. Your committment is month to month. So, if you don't like it, you can leave. (Unlike other gyms where you have to pay for the full year regardless.) The locker rooms are very clean and spacious. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deoderant, hairspray, cotton pads, q-tips, mouthwash, and towels are provided. There is a whirlpool, steam room, and sauna in the locker room. The showers are clean and large. In the morning they provide coffee as well. There are always locker room attendants. The staff is friendly and helpful. The gym is rarely crowded and I've never failed to get on the cardio machine I want to use. The other club members dress casually. This is not a fashion-show-pick-up-a-date gym. I use this gym more often than I've ever used one in the past because the location is convenient and I feel very comfortable there. I also rent a monthly locker which is well worth the price. So, I don't have to carry all of my gym gear to and from the gym. The music is not loud or obnoxious. Most of the cardio machines have their own televisions. All of the equipment works, all of the time. There are always friendly, competant trainers around to help. There are pleny of weights and machines. The only drawbacks are that the hours are limited- closed on Sunday, only open until 3pm on Saturday and 8pm M-F- the price is high- and they do not have recycling containers for all of the plastic water bottles gym members use. I also had a very bad experience with aesthetician Erin Moen. She was rude and insulting. I think she was trying very hard to scare me into buying additional services but all she did was send me running back to my previous aesthetician. Overall I highly recommend this gym especially if you're turned off by the loud, fast pace of other gyms or if you hate carrying all your gear around. Pros: very comfortable, excellent amenities, not crowded, downtown location, excellent equipment, monthly locker rental, no long-term committment required Cons: limited hours, no recycling, high price, rude aesthetician more
