This is a great animal hospital. We bring our two cats and two dogs. All four have received the best care at great prices. \r \r One cat Tipsy had an eye problem for five years. She was seen by several vets in the east bay and Marin. The eye problem wasn't solved until we took her to Bay Cities Animal Hospital. \r \r Every time we go out of town, we kennel the four. All are happy and healthy when we pick them up after our trip. more

They saved our dog Merlin. We had to rush our Great Dane to the ER Vet in San Leandro where they could not diagnose his problem but wanted to charge us $2500. They could not read his Xrays to us or ultrasound but our dog could not bark, stand or barely breathe. We took his chart and xrays to Bobby at Bay Cities on lewelling where they were able to tell the issue from the scans right away and provide him the medical care he needed. We fought with the ER vet who finally did not charge us, we said you are supposed to be specially trained and you could not tell us what was wrong with our dog but our reg vet could tell off your scans right away. Merlin passed away a year later at 9.5 yrs but had an extra year of vibrant life thanks to this vet clinic. THANK YOU. more

Dr. Cellu Dhawan at Bay Cities is without a doubt the best vet I've ever been to. I have two dogs, one who has been seeing him since he was a puppy and another whose first visit was for emergency surgery. \r \r Dr. Dhawan is not only a great vet, but he really takes the time to explain everything and gives you the information to make the right decision for your pet. He clearly loves animals and has a great bedside manner. \r \r On top of it all, the pricing for services is extremely reasonable - which is kind of amazing, given the excellent care they provide. I really can't recommend this vet enough. more

My family has come to Bay Cities for the past 15-20 years, way back when they were located in Oakland. We've come to know the staff personally and have always had a great relationship.\r \r I recent got a new puppy. Knowing what a good owner would do, took him here for his first wellness exam and shots. He just completed his 3rd set of shots this morning and is awaiting his 4month birthday for his rabies and other ""stuff.""\r \r The staff have always provided us with sound recommendations of what services are needed, and those that are not. Always helpful when saving a few bucks, but recommendation are based on their vast experience in the field, which makes sense for a lifetime dog owner.\r \r Never had a pet sick from here, but always had a pet recover from any ailments at home because of Bay Cities. \r \r Love them, just as much as our pets!\r \r Thanks Bobby and Cellu!! more

We have been bringing our cats to Dr. Cellu for over 6 years - and she has helped us through some very tough times and has brought our kitties back to health... in particular, our Kitty Princess, was on deaths door - but with Dr. Cellu's care and treatment she is healthy as can be.... Also, she and her staff is very aware of costs - and guided us, so we did not spend on un-needed test. We highly recommend BCAH. And with their extended hours on weekdays and weekends, we have been able to bring in our cats after work hours - very convenient. Also, we really appreciated the straight forward honesty with which they deal with emergency situations and state of health of our animals, the thoroughness in which they explained the situation, as well as all the options and costs. We also board our kitties there... we have done so at other places and have had our kitties come home very unhappy - when we board them at Bay Cities Animal Hospital, they always come home very tranquil and happy - we know they have been well taken care of... If you live in the East Bay - they are conveniently located, too! (We live in Alameda and make the trip over to Hayward.) more

I am the type of person who is very picky; I actually complain about every thing or will tell a business off in their face, if I do not like their customer service. I have never had this with BAY Cities. I even used to live in Foster City. I couldn’t find a vet I liked, although I would break my pockets. When I moved back to the east bay, I was very pleased with their honesty. I have found a cat that ended up having cancer. Bobby could have made me pay a lot for test, but he was very honest and had me take one NOT SO COSTLY test that will help me determine the illness, also he has helped me when getting a new pet. They will also tell you other alternatives if possible, rather then you paying a lot for the same thing. They are a very well establish Vet hospital. My mother and aunts use them for many things.
