this sleep center is a rip off to your insurance company. They bill once they get your insurance information till someone tells them to stop. I tell you honestly! If you have this debilitating apnea, or other related sleeping disorder please go to a professional place and do not even pass these jokers. In my opinion they are co-conspirators with shady doctors to rip off. Their medical director f. Scott Perrino in my opinion should be investigated for needless sleep studies ordered for every patient that comes in his office from a elbow pain to a foot sprain. Please beware of these tactics. more

my husband had to stay 2 different nights @ the Largo location and his experience was a positive experience. the technicians are very knowledable and even tho i had different things connected to me for the test i was comfortable.\r \r when I received my machine the promptness and caring of the therapists was above exceptional . boygana and becky are very caring and professional technicians they answered all of our questions and they still continue to call and check up to see how I am doing.\r i would recommend anyone to go there and encourage people that do have sleep problems to give them a call. they got us scheduled within 24 hours and the billing dept. always returns my calls. \r \r BEST IN THE STATE!!!! Yeah, I didn't understand the cost to the insurance either but then the insurance company explained to me that it was the rental cost of the CPAP machine. Is isn't the actual amount that the company receives. \r Its very unforunate that you haven't had follow up care. I haven't had that problem. The person that is helpful to me is Bojana. more

I was diagnosed 2 years ago by these people with sleep apnea they haven't done a follow up yet, I called numerous times no calls ever returned contacted via e-mail got 2 responces now the don't respond at all, they have been billing my insurance company monthly charges of 495.00 dollars for well over a year I told the insurance to stop payment as these folks appear to be committing Ins fraud billing and not servicing me Insurance company is looking into the matter at this time, folks do research on this company before you go there ask your Doctor to check them out or do it your self it will save you time and money in the long run, they are not trustworthy at all Cons: lousy communications, customer service non existent more

Just recently I had a sleep study done at this facility. I cannot say enough about the technicians and all of the staff members that I dealt with. They were very professional and I felt very comfortable throughout the entire process. I was sent over to this facility after having a very bad experience at another local facility. I was scheduled very promptly and told everything of what to expect up front. My technician was awesome. He was very informative, had great professionalism and was extremely knowledgeable on everything that he had discussed. He was very patient with me (especially since I was nervous from my previous experience), very willing to answer all of my questions and walked me through the entire process. The sleep facility itself was in a very comfortable setting and felt very clean. My doctor received my sleep study results very shortly after and I was set-up on a cpap machine. The entire process was very smooth and the office was excellent to work with. I would highly recommend this sleep facility to anyone. This facility has a horrible main office which has no clue how to operate a business. The people do not understand the definition of follow up nor can they answer questions about their own satellite offices. The manager of operations is the most unprofessional of the lot, so it is no surprise the employees do not have an ounce of interest in their jobs. If I could have chosen zero stars the rating would be appropriate. To top it off their is only one registered technician who works all the way in Bradenton, which I understand is the only lab that is professional and courteous, but is hidden away from the patients of the bay area. I'm not sure how this company is managing to stay in business with the poor regard for anyone who interacts with any of the facilities. I should have done my research prior to scheduling my appointment, since referring doctors will not even recommend this company. Where or why do patients even attend this place?! My experience was extremely positive. The first mask I received didn't work and I called and asked if I could switch it out and they said no problem. I went in, tried several, and came home with a new mask after turning in my other one. The office was clean, a little disorganized in the mask/machine room, but I think that's normal for a stock room. The staff has been nothing short of fabulous to me. I received a personal call recently to assess how I was doing because my neurologist was concerned about my sleep patterns since on the machine. I would recommend Bay Area Sleep Center to anyone. They have been great. I have had and they have never billed me or requested me to pay, but bill my insuracne. The Technician who did both of my studies was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The office is dirty and creepy. The women who administered the test was the only thing nice about the whole experience. After trying to sleep with contraption for a couple of weeks I tried to return it and no one ever called me back to tell me how. They billed me $100.00 per month and my insurance company $500.00 a month for over a Year! The machine only cost $2,000.00, not $10,000.00! When I got no response and was continually billed, I told them I would only pay for the time I actually tried to use the machine, they sent me an altered statement for $900 and are theatening to ruin my credit.
