Avoid Lawn Mower Repair Dept 7/7/2011

Wow, I'm surprised there hasn't been a review written. OK, the inside staff are great, 4 star great, but the lawn mower repair staff are ZERO. Took my lawn mower in for service and was told 2 weeks. 30 days later, still getting told at least 2 more weeks so I took my lawn mower back. During the last 30 days I attempted phone calls and either no answer of the ringing phone or some one would just lift the phone up and then hang up. Going in person to check and no one there (it's located under the store), just rows & rows of equipment to be repaired. When I asked for the lawn mower back, the clerk tried to tell me that they (Bates) had only had the lawn mower for 2 weeks instead of the 30 days of record ! Oh, the same clerk said that Commercial Customers are taken care of first. more

save your time 6/6/2009

Called for mower repair. They said bring it to the side of the bldg. I drove 25 minutes, went to the side, rang the bell. Operator said "I'll let them know". 10 minutes later, I called again. operator said "I'll make sure they know you're there". 10 minutes later, still no response, reloaded the mower and drove around to the front entrance. When inside and was told "well, we don't have parts for Toro, and if it doesn't need a part and we can work on it, we are running 2 and 1/2 weeks minimum. Great service! Friendly but incompetent. Cons: If service is supposed to be the difference, that don't have more

hardware and keys 7/31/2005

your normal run of the mill place to get some things you will need as keys and garden tools. lawn care and bug killer! house locks and other items that you don't feel like running to a large change store for. PROS: local CONS: higher costs more
