NO MORE PAIN! 4/16/2008

I was referred to Dr. Tim Harrington by a friend and could not be happier with my results. After weeks of being bounced from a sports chiro (who really messed me up) to my regular physician, to a cardiologist and then to a gastrointerologist... I walked away from my first visit with Dr. Tim feeling better than I could have ever expected.\r \r The staff is super friendly and they're always on schedule. Now that I'm feeling so much better, I still go back once a week or so just to let Dr. Tim give me a quick work-over and it feels good to know I'm doing something good for my body!\r \r Thanks so much to Dr. Tim and the staff for getting me back on my feet and feeling great! Pros: They take my insurance, are always on schedule and very friendly more

Provided excellent treatment for my back pain 1/13/2008

I definitely recommend Dr Harrington and Barton Creek Chiropractic for treating back pain and disc injuries. They were very helpful, always professional and friendly. Following are the details of my experience there:\r \r I hurt my back (the L5/L6 disc) in fall '06. The pain was terrible leaning over or sitting down, I was unable to put on my shoes due to pain. I had a terrible time sleeping comfortably, and it was moderately painful walking around. I even had to lie with my back on the floor frequently at work to ease the discomfort. This situation kept up for ~2 weeks, not getting much better.\r \r I then went to see Dr. Harrington. He immediately was able to provide moderate pain release and improve flexibility (allowing me to put on my own shoes again!) with chiropractic treatment. However, that was only the start of the improvement. I visited Dr. Harrington for treatment generally 2X/week for ~3 months (covered by my insurance, United Healthcare) and progressively improved. Treatment consisted of massage or muscle stimulation to relax the stressed out lower back muscles; chiropractic treatment (realignment to move vertebrae into proper positon and remove strain on the joint); training me on safe exercises and stretches to do at home to strengthen my back and stomach muscles; advice on pillows and sleeping position so I could start sleeping well again (that alone made a huge difference in my well-being); recommendations for physical activities (e.g., walking 10,00 steps/day); mineral supplements to rebuild the material in the disc; and proper techniques for computer use and for lifting. It is tough to say which of these program elements were the most critical longterm but certainly the overall program was effective and doable, even in a busy work-family schedule. It really helped me get back on my feet, literally.\r \r The staff were friendly, efficient and motivated to help. Scheduling was suprisingly flexible. Overall, highly recommended. Pros: Results, friendliness, scheduling ease Cons: No magic bullets (good results take time & some effort) more

finally living life pain-free! 11/19/2007

i was very nervous about going to see a chiropractor (friends in other areas reported experiences that were always either very positive or very negative, but rarely in the middle), but after more than 13 years of almost constant back pain i took a chance and went in to see dr. tim at the Barton Creek Clinic. He listened carefully to me and explained what he would do to fix the problems. his method of adjustment is much more gentle than i had expected. \r \r after the first visit i noticed improvement in my flexibility and was already experiencing less pain. within 3 months of regular visits my pain level was no longer constant and my episodes of muscle spasms had severly declined. i can happily say that one year after my first visit i am no longer living in constant pain. i have greater mobility and flexibility, and the few muscle spasms i have had in that time have been cured with a single visit to the office and a day of taking it easy (rather than 3-5 days of prescription medication that make it impossible to function normally and care for a child).\r \r in summary, i have happily recommended Barton Creek Clinic to friends and would encourage anyone to go in and meet dr.tim. more
