LOVE the veterinarians!! We almost lost my Yorkie and they brought him back to life, figured out he was diabetic and now he's an 8yr old dog that acts like a puppy! We also boarded him for the first time in his life for 10 days while on vacation. They took great care of him and even fed him his special treat of boiled chicken breast I brought for him. They even let him keep his bed from home too. The entire staff is wonderful. Love the front desk girls too and they always remember my baby (I mean dog). more

Compassionate Care Abounds 8/31/2011

On Monday of this week our family had to make the decision to put down a beloved member. Our dog was with us for 13 years. The doctors and staff at Barry Road Animal Hospital were so kind and compassionate at this difficult time I hardly have words to describe. I was able to stay with our pet as she was put to sleep. All was handle with great delicacy, empathy and love. We received a sympathy note from the office in the mail today. I consider that going above and beyond good service. Thank you again for all the care your provided for our family. more

New Vet 1/25/2010

The staff is very friendly and very helpful. When I had my new kitten spayed they showed me the op room and explained everything. And the Doc is very nice and she explains things in easy to understand terms.\r I have owned cats for over 30 years. It is great when your vet understands your pets are part of your family! more

They are the only Vets I have ever used. 5/16/2009

11 years ago I took home two cats, one is still with me, the people at Barry Rd have always treated me and the cats well. Three years ago I had to put one of my cats down and their kindness helped me deal with the change in my life. I have since brought home a "new" cat and she just recently had two teeth removed. Again the people there helped me with this too.\r This year's exams were done by Dr. Amy Bunck. Her kindness and gentleness made the exam go smoothly. I tell all my friends that they need to go to Barry Rd. more

Excellent facility 2/6/2009

We switched to this location when our vet started doubling their charge for boarding. We subsequently took our two newest cats here to have them front declawed. We were allowed to visit the cats on the way out of town. Seeing them in their sedated condition was quite a shock, but the staff here were so comforting and really helped us feel at ease that they were staying there. Highly recommended. more

Barry Road Animal Hospital has been treating my dogs for 5 years now and I would trust no one else with their care. They understand that my dogs are my babies and always treats them as so. \r The service and care is top notch, the treatment and veternary care is cutting edge. You are working with people that truly love animals and it shows. The prices are very reasonable and competitve. If you are new to the area or are simply a new pet owner, this is the place to take your baby. No one else compares. They are well respected members of the Northland community and are highly recommended by animal lovers of Kansas City! more

Nice people 7/26/2005

We take my eleven year old scottish fold cat to this clinic, and they are very nice. They even have a "house" cat that sleeps on the desk. The only problem is they keep wanting to give him shots he doesn't need, because he is an indoor cat. But other than that great! more

This office has very friendly staff here. Animals are treated like they are individual patients not just like animals. They also make sure to listen to what your concerns are. more
