Barry Jay Jewelers

When I got married five years ago, my husband and I were shopping for our wedding bands and decided to stop and look at Barry Jay's. I ended up having my wedding band made by Barry. That was my first purchase at Barry Jay's but has not been my last...I have since gone to Barry Jay's for all of my jewelry purchases, repairs, etc. The staff is always welcoming and helpful...you are never rushed or pressured to buy - it's a great neighborhood store! I used to live on the east coast, and around Philly at one point.\r When I was there I was introduced to Barry Jay Jewelers. From moment one, you know this is the neighborhood store, that non corporate feeling that lets you know they are willing to take the time to inform you of every aspect of your purchase with sheer honesty. My career takes me to a new city about every three to four years. About six years ago I moved away from the Philly area, eventually landing in Denver, Colorado. When I decided to make a jewelery purchase, I looked around the Denver area, yet to no avail did I find that same feeling. I figured, why take chances. I called the store, and he had exactly what I was looking for. That same day I was sent an email from Barry himself, with a picture of the item, and within four days it arrived in Denver. I just got engaged last week and my fiance went to Barry Jay Jewelers for a ring. I have to say my boyfriend was totaly in fear of buying a ring. He had told me about some of the sales people at other stores and felt no one was listening to him. A few of his friends use Barry Jay and all have been very happy. He said he made him feel very relaxed and felt no pressure to buy. He said he actually had a very fun time hanging around the store . My ring needed a adjustment because my fiance did not know my finger size. Barry sized the ring for me the same day because we were going up to New York to see my family. This was the first time I was in his store and eveyone there was very nice. He is now our Jeweler. :) more

I am new to this area and needed to find a Jeweler to repair my engagment ring. ( This ring was my grandmothers) Being very reluctant to leave the ring with just any store. I asked my neighbors who they use and some of our new friends at our Church and they all recommend Barry Jay Jewelers. I went in to show him my problem and I was greeted by two very friendly woman who were able to answer some of my questions until Barry came out. He explained everything to me that the ring needed to be fixed properly. He also showed me my ring under a microscope and taught me how to Identify my diamond. I left with a picture showing me my diamonds inclusions. At this point I didn't feel pressured on leaving my ring He took alot of time to explain everything to me so I felt very relaxed. I just picked up my ring this week from him and I thought I was going to cry in his store. He did a amazing job putting this ring back together my grandmother would of been proud. I have used this store for repair work and gifts for my girlfriend for a few years and always had great service. This store has been very generous with donation to my son's school and I think people should remember the local stores who take care of the community. His work has always shown his eye for detail and when it comes time to buy that ring. He will be my first and only choice. more

We buy jewelry there but it's also a great place to have jewelry repaired. Always nice to deal directly with the owner of a business. He has a friendly staff and seems to have many repeat customers. more

My buddies have all purchased there engagement rings here so when I was looking I went there to see what he had. He gave me a great education on the four c. He basicaly put it into english so I could understand what everything ment. Some of the other stores I went to just would confuse me. I shoped around for about a month and ended up back at Barry Jays. He was very easy to deal with. He actualy made the ring I wanted from a picture my girlfriend had given to me. The ring came out awesome and the price was alittle less than I expected. I would say I am avery tuff person to deal with and Barry had no problem with me and never made we feel pressured. Barry Jay (the store's owner) runs the store personally and takes care of all the repairs. His work is amazing and his personal touch with his customers keeps them coming back again and again! Everything is done on the premises and the quality of his work comes highly recommended. Everyone in Springfield who knows comes to Barry Jay Jewelers and is treated like family. Just ask his mother (who works there), or his father (the watchmaker for the store), or the very friendly staff who always have a smile on their faces. I can attest to the quality of the merchanside at this store. The jeweler there knows jewelry amazingly well. The prices are great and the selection is wide. There is no doubt that you will be getting quality at fair prices when you shop here. I cannot think of another jewelry store which I can trust more or would feel more comforatble making a big purchase. more
