It's harder to find good vehicle service out there than you think. These guys are the real deal and the prices are fair.

Gary is always so helpful. He tells you what is wrong, what you need, quotes a price, sticks with it and repairs it right the first time. He does not stick you with extra repairs. He is honest. Also the Secretary is very friendly and helpful and efficient. Thank you so much, Gary more

Great car care 6/12/2013

I have been doing business with Barr's Auto Repair for years. They are very knowledgeable and never try to sell me service that isn't needed. In fact, I have often taken a vehicle in for a perceived problem and have been told that the repair can wait--that there is no safety or mechanical issue requiring immediate attention. They aren't cheap and they don't take shortcuts, but they are trustworthy and they stand behind their work and the parts they use. more

Honest people 5/20/2013

We went in to have the car checked over, hoses, fluids, brakes, everything. The only thing it needed was an oil change. They could have asked us to replace others things but didn't. Great group of people. more

Convenience, respect and integrity, hard characteristics to find in auto repair shops. 5/17/2013

Expert and professional care with a real family friendly nature. Management and Mechanics are professional and reliable and I don't fear being taken advantage of. I believe this characteristic comes from the top down, that is, that is the business model at Barr's or you don't work there - a simple idea really. Management is professional and family friendly. I like to avoid any repair costs to my cars, but if it has to be done, I trust Barr's when compared to past work at other "family owned chain" repair shops where you get caught up in the hype of promised cheaper "family friendly" repairs, but the only thing cheap is the quality of their repairs and materials. I will stick with a known commodity like Barr's. more

Extra mile 3/17/2013

I recently had a difficult problem dealt with by Barrs Auto. It involved a fly wheel and starter replacement. That was the easy part. The difficulty was catching the cause of the problem to prevent future fly wheel/starter failure. It took a few visits and a bit of trial and error to track down the problem. After replacing an intermittent Battery the cause was discovered. Gary went the extra mile by replacing the starter the last time at no cost to me and ending the repair on a high note. Im having him do my brakes next. Well worth the drive! more
