just came home from visiting this Barnes and Noble location, and I'm still very upset and furious! Just experienced one of the most horrible customer service of my life! It is their educator discount week, so I asked to verify if personal items are included in the 25 % discount. She said that is it, JUST FOR THIS WEEK, as long as you show your educator ID. For some reason, I completely forgot getting one since it's been almost a year since I registered for it. She told me to show a proof such as a check stub from my employer. I told her that I did not have any at that time and when I last registered, I did not have mine on hand either and that they just checked my school's website staff area to verify. She vehemently argued that they do not check eligibility online and she is the BN manager for 4 years now, and that is just not possible. I told her that one of the ladies at the Children's section helped me last time. She is still forcing the issue that it is not possible, and is implying that I am a liar! I just dropped the issue and told her never mind and thanks for your help. She just rolled her eyes, did not even respond, and just turned around! Shame on the current manager at this BN location! I can't believe she just acted that way to an 8 month pregnant lady :( Will never come back to this location again and will definitely not recommend it to other teachers and parents!!!
