Good Place 8/13/2007

I for one like Barnes and Noble. You can go in, sit around and read, get some coffee, peruse every book and magazine in the place and then buy or not buy something and they're not worried about it. They're open until 10PM, that's pretty darn good for a book store. They'll order a book for you if they don't have it, give you the choice of having it delivered at your house or the store. They make it easy. As for this lady that wrote in and was upset about a B&N employee keeping her from walking around the store with her behemoth stroller, sorry, I have to agree with B&N on this one. Why should I have to navigate around your monster stroller? You should think about others, besides yourself, when you go out in public. more

CD's not always included 2/7/2006

I ordered a textbook from this store last year and didn't receive the CD that came along with the book. I contacted the store and they re-ordered another book for me but they never called me back to let me know that the order expired for some reason. Unfortunately it had been over their 30 day return period when I checked on the order and was told they may have ran out of that book and that's why it expired. I was told if I come into the store and speak with a manager they "may" be able to give me a store credit but she wasn't sure. They should have contacted me because now I can't re-sell my used textbook to someone else. more

NOT kid friendly 8/30/2005

I did not like this store at all. I have two small children and was out shopping one day. I have a double stroller and as soon as I walked through the door I was told my stroller was too big to bring in. The employee was very snobby and condescending to me and I refuse to return. You would think with the amount of money they charge for things, they could afford to widen their aisles so that you could bring your children in a stroller. The reason for the stroller in the first place is to stop the children from pulling stuff off the shelves. They should welcome them instead of turning us away. more
