great selection, good location 6/11/2011

i love this bookstore. they have a great selection and offer what few bookstores do: order online, pickup at the store. they are also located right in the heart of downtown san luis obispo. there is smoothie shop next door so you can enjoy your new book with a cold smoothie and for the coffee drinkers there is a starbucks located right there inside the bookstore with a greater selection of snacks than the standalone starbucks across the way. more

Locked out of the B & N Bathrooms! 8/9/2009

Our local B & N has decided to lock it's customers out of the restrooms on Thursday nights (Farmer's Mkt Night). You will be directed to the Porta-potties ... through the alley on an adjoining street. Is this even legal, considering they have a full service cafe? The same as other B&N's but with a great location! 9/7/2006

I love going to this Barnes and Noble thanks to it's amazing location right in the middle of downtown. It's funny because it has a starbucks upstairs and there is a starbucks directly across the walkway from it but they're both equally good and the B&N one is generally less crowded. Great place to grab some coffee and browse some magazines. Make sure to check out the discounted books as you can find some good reading for very cheap! more
