Good and bad here. Good: cafe has excellent drinks and a friendly staff (guys, if you can , come on the weekend --you'll meet Erica who is stunningly beautiful and nice.) \r They have a fairly wide selection of books/magazines/newspapers. \r Most of the customer service staff are competent and will help you find a book.\r \r Bad: often they don't have enough people at the customer service desk so you may have to wait a while\r Bathrooms are dirty every time I've been there, part of the reason I stopped going there.\r \r Too much pressure in music store. I don't like being asked right away if I need help. \r \r Overall, adequate, not great, if Borders hadn't gone out of business I I would go there instead more

This is one sweet bookstore 6/17/2005

They have any book you could ever imagine. I love just browsing and looking for a good book to read. They have every catagory and genre. They also have a good selection of music. I like how they have couches and chairs scattered around the store so you can make sure the book you want is right for you before you purchase it. more

Great Store! 6/10/2005

I always enjoy coming to this store. They have quite a selection. Many times, I have called ahead and had them reserve a book for me. It is always waiting up front for me when I get there. It is very nice since I have a toddler, I dont have to run through the store to find the book, while trying to keep my child from taking all the books off the shelf! Great customer service! more

Books, music, coffee 6/4/2005

Vistas Barnes and Noble is a good spot for finding new music, books, or getting a cup of coffee. They carry everything from the classics to modern day, fiction and non-fiction, and have a music section towards the back of the building. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The building is located in the shopping center on Vista way; it shares a fairly large sized parking lot with its neighbors. The prices are reasonable, and their sales are worthwhile. This is a good place to go when looking for a few good new books. more

This is one of my favorite places to be on a rainy day (or even a sunny one at that) There is every book you could ever want at great prices. I also love to take my daughter to their storytime more

Good Time pass 5/25/2005

It has all the wide variety of Barnes & Noble bookshops plus it has a great playarea for the kids. Good for taking kids for one hour time pass. They have storytelling for the kids on thursdays. more

Barnes and Noble has every kind of book you can think along with a selection cds and dvds for a moderate price. I always come to barnes in Noble to find new books. more

This is a very good book store. They usually have whatever you need, everything from kids fictional books to cooking or an AP physics study guide. They even have a nice little caf inside, as well as a music section. Altogether It is a nice place and a good bookstore, very large as well. more

Bookstore Serves Up Variety to North San Diego 5/1/2005

Nestled in the junction of busy San DIego freeways I-5 and Hwy-78, Narnes & Noble caters to the diverse population of the locality. Excellent reads, fair prices, and an excellent selection of "Bargain Books," Barnes & Noble in Oceanside offers something for everyone from high school students to military families. Highly recommend their New Age and poetry section, but could use a more diverse selection in the area of World History. more

Man this place got it going with books. If they don't have it, they'll order it for you at no extra charge. This place the the ultimate place for a book store if you need reading books or text books. PROS: got it all (books) CONS: nothing more

Great Hours 4/14/2005

When you feel stressed out from work or school Barnes and Noble in Mira Mesa is a great place to sit back and relax. They have a huge variety of books and music and also have a coffee shop inside the store. What I like the best about the store is that their hours are awesome. They are open til 11 at night seven days a week. So if you need a quite place to study I highly recommend this book store. more

Great Selection for a great price 4/13/2005

This bookstore is great. It has good atmosphere and freindly serivice.. Getting the books you want is easy if you can get access to one of their computers to do a search for what you are looking for . The prices are decent for a book store. Just don't think about buying a cd they usually never have what ur looking for anyway,plus they can be overpriced PROS: Has a huge selection of books to buy CONS: more

Mira Mesa location is neato 4/12/2005

They have pretty much anything you need to read stuff here. I personally prefer grabbing some coffee (that I will get for free with my $5 gift certificate for filling out this form) from the starbucks there and reading a magazine. The selection truly is amazing whenever I have to get an abstract book for school to read. I dislike reading, however I can actually manage to find many interesting books to read here. more

This bookstore has a good atmosphere. There's even a cafe inside where you can sit down to read your magazine or surf the web. Finding books is pretty easy if you can get access to one of their computers and chances are, they will have it. The prices are decent but if you get a membership card, you can get a discount. Just don't think about buying a cd. That is what is overpriced. Overall, good bookstore. more

Books 3/29/2005

Barnes and Noble in Ocean is nice because I have kids of all ages who can spend hours there. It's a great place to go on a rainy day. The little ones can play at the back of the store where they have a train set and theater area where little ones can pretend to be part of a play. They have little chairs and tables too. Starbucks is located inside the coffee shop for those who would like to study and have some coffee. What I really like about Barnes and Noble is there great customer service and return policy. As long as the book isn't abused. You can exchange it. It you have the reciept you can get a full refund, if it is within 30 days. PROS: open late CONS: none more
