This store is a large store for Fort Wayne, but it is not a large store in the general scheme of the chain. It offers a coffee shop with limited seating. The magazine counter is h...

Just like any other Barns and Noble 11/5/2005

I was really excited when I learned they were putting in a Barnes & Noble in Fort Wayne. I had been to one while living in Georgia and missed being able to go to one. It's a nice place to go to during non peak hours when things are quieter and less crowded. On the weekends it gets pretty crowded and the noise level is a bit high to sit back and relax. Add that to the long line at the coffee shop and I think I would rather find somewhere else to go. They do have a great selection of books to choose from but the staff is hardly seen unless you go to the service counter or the register. more

Nice 7/28/2005

I like this store except when it is so crowded. It is in a great location at Jefferson Point but it is to cold in the winter to shop there. They have a nice children section with a story time. They usually have what Im looking for. The store is clean and Star Bucks there is nice. I like to get gift cards from here. more

It's a Barnes and Noble 6/1/2005

When it first opened, southwest Fort Wayne was excited. A Barnes and Noble, with Starbuck's Coffee, is opening in our neighborhood! Now that it has been open, our excitement has cooled a bit. It's a run of the mill Barnes and Noble. Best sellers as you come in, music to the side, and the sales tables at the other end of the store. It's crowded during peak movie times for the Rave located at the end of the mall, and seats are hard to find. The children's room is larger than most and has a wide selection of books. Aside from that, it's just a BN bookstore. No special offerings, no special expertise, nothing out of the ordinary in the readings or author visits. Mall parking can be outrageous at peak times on the weekends. PROS: Mall location CONS: Burr cold in the winter months, overly crowded at times more
