When it first opened, southwest Fort Wayne was excited. A Barnes and Noble, with Starbuck's Coffee, is opening in our neighborhood! Now that it has been open, our excitement has cooled a bit. It's a run of the mill Barnes and Noble. Best sellers as you come in, music to the side, and the sales tables at the other end of the store. It's crowded during peak movie times for the Rave located at the end of the mall, and seats are hard to find. The children's room is larger than most and has a wide selection of books. Aside from that, it's just a BN bookstore. No special offerings, no special expertise, nothing out of the ordinary in the readings or author visits. Mall parking can be outrageous at peak times on the weekends.
PROS: Mall location
CONS: Burr cold in the winter months, overly crowded at times
