Best

Have eaten there several times even though we do not usually go to sports bars. The menu is more varied than the standard wings 'n burgers fare, with some unexpectedly creative t...

Worst

The poorest service I have ever witnessed. It takes forever to get a drink, and then to get your order taken..

Just like the original 9/20/2002

Leaving Atlanta and Barnacles was hard, but after moving to Brandon and finding another Barnacles was just like going home. This Barnacles is just like the locations in Atlanta, all the way down to the Monday night trivia and the lobster machine. A great place to go on Saturday afternoons with the kids to catch the game, and then go back later for the night life. The food is great too-definitely a winner!! more

Plethora of TV's 9/20/2002

Nice atmoosphere for sports plenty of TV's with access to every game. Staff always helpful to find game you want to watch. Pros: many TV's, friendly staff Cons: not enough parking more

Where you go to be happy 8/22/2002

I have only been to Barnacles a few times. Not only is the the food fantastic, but also the atmosphere is mood altering. You should only go to Barnacles when you plan on being happy. Seriously, I found the mood to be light-hearted and fun-inducing. With televisions EVERYWHERE, you are sure to see any game that you would want to see. What a great place to be! Pros: atmosphere, comfortable, lots 'o tvs more

Editorial
  • The Scene
Families and the sports-minded crowd come first before the place morphs into a truck-driving (read country boys), testosterone-heavy singles-fest. A game room acts as a buffer between the bar and the pool hall. While TVs encompass the entire perimeter side-by-side, it's tough to focus on one event and sometimes hard to hear. Your best bet is a seat at the center bar, a spot near the second big bar or a table on the dance floor area.

    The Draw
Oyster bar for lunch, sports bar (with more than 450 TVs, including a dozen big screens in the center) in the evening and dance club after 10pm. The food is typical sports bar fare, but shy away from the burgers in favor of the seafood and daily specials. There's also a large selection of brews.
