Had everything I needed 10/21/2005

This place was purrfect for me. I have two turtles that I take care of, and the salespeople were wonderful to me. They got me the tank, the filter, turtle food, everything I needed. I was also able to get a discount from getting so many things from them. The prices aren't too bad and the place doesn't smell dirty which is a big plus. I believe my turtles love their environment. more

Oldest and BEST Pet store in Austin! 10/14/2005

Bark n Purr has been around since the 50s and its a great place to get your pet supplies. They carry a large variety of supplies for Cats, dogs, ferrets, gerbils and hamsters. The toy selection is great as well as organic, holistic and specialty foods. Its smaller than the larger chains and you can take your pets with you as well. Ive never used the grooming services but have been told theyre great. This is a hometown type of pet shop with the friendliest and most helpful people. PROS: Great for all pet supplies! CONS: more

Grooming and So Much More 7/11/2004

We have taken our pups here for years. Nearing her end, our 14 yr old lab could no longer get in or out of our SUV on her own. She weighed nearly 80lbs. I could not lift her. The guys at B~n~P were more than willing to help. They usually carried her all the way into the grooming department. They often would tell her how beautiful she looked after her day at the "spa." Sensible choice! 6/12/2002

It's hard to find healthy dog food without wheat and corn, but Bark 'N Purr has it! Sensible Choice is our favorite brand, but they have plenty of others. Not to mention healthy treats to boot! more
