Bark Avenue Animal Hospital

I would caution any pet owners to look for another vet service. I had been a loyal customer of Bark Ave. However the constant turnover in veterinarians was troublesome. I recently took my dog in for very troubling symptoms and despite writing down in the record my dog was lethargic and temp very low, the vet choose to draw labs and not run them and send her home. My poor 5 year old dog died less than 12 hrs later. Running the labs would have saved her!!!\r Look for another vet hospital... I believe my dog unnecessarily died. more

I used to love this clinic but due to recent staff changes I will no longer use this clinic. They should have known what a great thing they had.... In this economy you would think the owners would want to stand out and be known for their amazing staff and service. Now they are just an average clinic....with average veterinarian service.... I can find better elsewhere.... I want someone who actually cares about my pet. Cons: Nothing to get excited about more

I boarded my 3 large dogs for just over a week. When we are gone for this long, I look for a place that will do more than let them out once a day and feed them - otherwise, I can expect behavioral problems for the next week or two when we return home. Bark Ave. certainly went the extra mile! When I called to ask about reservations, I was invited to tour the facility. I did take the tour that day and was impressed with what I saw. Everything was clean. There is a large fenced grassy area for lots of running, which is essential for my dogs. They do not have group play time with other dogs - that is hard to find and exactly what I wanted. All three were able to stay in the same suite, which included extra playtime outside. I had my collie groomed before we picked them up. They did an exceptional job - she looked gorgeous! I was very happy with their care. More importantly, my dogs were very happy and it showed in their behavior. Pros: Play area, groomers, people Cons: Price can be high for 3 dogs more

I love this place - they have clean dog areas - great staff - wonderful groomers. My dogs love to go I have left them at least 6 times in 2008 and 1 2009 and they go for grooming every 6 weeks. Pros: clean more

I have 2 labs Scout / Tripper and they just can't get enough exercise. The guys at Bark Ave. take them out to the big yard and they have a great time - the guys even took a video of them running in the yard. I have never had anything bad happen. Pros: BIG YARD more

After reading a review I just MUST say something about this fantastic pet resort - not only are the grass areas as big as some dog parks that I have been to - my dogs love the pool when it is hot. I have been going to Bark Ave. for years and would NEVER consider going anywhere else. The people are great they all love my dogs and my dogs love them. I have small dogs and they are not always comfortable around new people but they all love going to Bark Ave.\r Another plus is the store WOW you can get anything in there and they have great sales on dog clothing (if you like that) and beautiful collars. We have large grass play yards, a large swimming pool for the dogs and they are never put in cages over grass. \r I would like for you or anyone else to visit our web site and see our facility by way of a virtual tour. If that is not proof enough than I invite you or anyone else to come in and speak to our staff in ENGLISH then take a tour. The kennel techs are illegal immigrants, paid under the table who do not speak english. The dogs are not provided with anything to sleep on except for the cold hard ground, which very often is wet. Many dogs have left with sores and illnesses due to the conditions. Treated like cattle and not played with, just put in a cage over grass. Don't put your dog at risk. Pros: The cat section is nice. Cons: don't give dogs their personal belongings, no treats, no bed, left alone for 12 hours in the dark, not played with, overpriced, shady more
