I am pleased beyond belief with how beautiful my furniture looks after being restored by Bare Wood. The pieces have been in my family for generations, but through the years had been poorly cared for, horribly misused and then stored under less-than-ideal conditions.
Talk about a mess: when they received the furniture, much of it was covered with layers of black paint, old varnish, scratches, wall paint spatters and cigarette burns. An intricately carved wood "filigree" (for lack of a better word) overlaid on the glass door of the china cabinet was broken in several places. Veneering was coming off of several pieces, and the dining chairs had once been "repaired" with chicken wire and coat hangers in an apparent attempt to keep them from wobbling.
