The Bardavon is the oldest opera house the US .The shows there are theater, dance, music, opera, and other performance genres. Considering how old it is, it is nicely decorated, and is a good size. The opera house can seat 2,000 people. There are three sections: the first section, the first gallery and the "peanut gallery". It is a great place to see shows with your family or friends. more

Great theater for all types of performances 8/9/2005

I have been to the Bardavon many times and it never fails to impress me. The shows there are theater, dance, music, opera, and other performance genres. It is nicely decorated, and is a good size. The opera house can seat 2,000 people: 900 on the first level, 600 in the first gallery and 500 on benches in the third, or "peanut" gallery. It is a great place to visit shows with your family or friends. more
