The catfish is really good. It is not greasy nor mushy like a lot of places I have tried catfish. The price is also very reasonable.\r more

Good BBQ , Great Catfish. My favorite is the BBQ Nachos. The sides are all homemade so they are all good. No alcohol. Good service.\r more

I enjoy going out for barbecue. I have eaten the stuff in Tennessee, Texas, Kansas City, Lexington and down home here in Georgia. There are a lot of great places to get your fix. One of my favorites is Barbecue Street. I enjoy the dry-rubbed spare ribs, chopped pork, eye of the round beef, and smoked ham. I always get their fresh creamy coleslaw, and other great sides. I love the beans, They are best I have ever had. We also love the fried Catfish with fresh cut fries (the real thing). You need to order them crispy. The catfish is great but is only complete with the best Tarter Sauce I have ever tasted. When we have room for dessert I like the strawberry cake or peach cobbler. The service is great most times - they have a lot of nice folks. One of our favorites!\r more

Great Catfish and Pork! Usually is a large crowd on friday and saturday nights when i drive by after work so i decided to check it out last weekend. Very nicely decorated restaurant with a real family atmosphere. There were six of us there, and all my family really liked there food. Their Strawberry Cake is to die for! I would seriously consider checking this place out if you have never been.\r more

Love the new location. Still the best catfish and barbecue around! Much easier to access now that they're in the Kroger shopping center.\r more

BBQST is our favorite restaurant. Everything they serve is great! Best catfish ANYWHERE. Shrimp as good as any I've ever had. Veggies are to die for. (Try the collards and green beans). The desserts are all homemade. You can tell by the taste. I think their prices are very reasonable. I've found the staff to be very cordial and the service is exemplary. BBQST rocks!!!\r more

Barbecue Street is a favorite BBQ restaurant of mine and my family. They recently moved to the current location from just across the road. Good BBQ. My favorite item and what I usually get is the Pork Thrift Plate (BBQ pork sandwich and two sides). I believe that was $7.99. The pulled pork is tender and tasty. If you are a Q fan, you probably know that different parts of the country treat barbeque differently. In the south, sauces are a big deal with BBQ. Barbeque Street has their Georgia Sweet Sauce that I would recommend. It is excellent. As for side items and appetizers, my wife loves their onion rings a lot, and my daughter says the fried pickles are her favorite (no, I'm not kidding, really... fried pickles). They remind me of fried green tomatoes. The service is friendly and attentive. The decor is appropriate for a barbecue restaurant and has an overall rustic feel combined with some nice vintage Coca Cola memorabilia. For my family a good experience. Easy to recommend.\r more

Just the BEST!! 9/19/2009

Everyone treated us special. There was 6 of us eating on a Thurs. night. I had the babyback ribs and they just fell off the bones. My friend, Rob tried the Spare Ribs and they looked and smelled out of this world. He said he would recommend them to everyone. The other 4 had AYCE catfish. Big servings and lot of good service.(Brandi was our server) WE ARE HAPPY THAT WE CAME TO EAT AND BOY DID WE!! Pros: Ribs are the best AND so is the catfish Cons: more than you can eat more

Love the food, impressed with the management. 1/13/2008

The first week we moved to kennesaw stopped in because I was too exhausted to cook. My sons were 6 and 8. Went in to order and my 8 year old was asking for ribs, which were NOT in our budget. He got a little teary. When our order came we paid (for the sandwiches I had ordered) and got home to find a full order of ribs for my son had been included at no charge, to his great delight. The food was great and I have always been impressed with a company who cared more about the feelings of a small child than profit. That was 11 years ago. We have been customers ever since. Pros: really nice people more

Poor barbecue experience 8/28/2007

Greeters and waitress were aloof from the beginning to the end. The first order of ""riblets"" looked like the mangled, leftover scraps of a meat carving. The ribs on the replacement plate had clearly not been smoked and were only edible because the sauce was decent. Macaroni and stew was cold, runny, and tasteless. Waitress inadvertently added $6.00 to the bill. Will not venture near this place again. more

LOVE IT! 7/14/2007

I really like this place! I had the catfish sandwich with the fries you could tell were homemade! WOW! My son loves the ""BBQ Sammy"". We showed him how to put coleslaw on it. He liked that. I did too. My husband loved the ribs and beans. Really good place for families! We were all licken' our fingers! I would totally recommend it!! Now we run and get take out all the time! YUMMY!! more

Pork barbeque, fried catfish filets are the best 3/19/2006

This restaurant has some of the best pork barbeque, fried catfish filets, curly fries, peach cobbler and curly fries I have ever eaten. Malcolm, the owner learned from the master, Jim Morpeth, at Country's in Columbus, GA. He adjusts his menu slightly to stay with the desires of his customers....always. The food is hot when it gets to the table and the salads are always cold and crisp. Sweet tea is out of this world.....none better. Pros: Superb catfish, Excellent fries, Sauce is a plus Cons: Service is too fast more

Good Cobbler 11/12/2004

The peach cobbler was the only thing I really liked about Barbeque Street. The green beans were okay, the cornbread wasn't tasty and the pork had too much of a vinegar taste, not my kind of barbeque at all, I prefer it smokey and sweet. Hubby liked his riblets though. more
