Avoid Banfield Like the Plague 11/3/2011

One star is too generous for this place. I came in from outu of town and brought my dog in for a uninary tract infection. Dr. Ann Montague insisted that I run a series of tests and x-rays totaling $475.00 and lo and behold, it was what I said it was. She also got the files from my regular vet in another state, which listed the same thing. In my opinion, this is a scam operation, so only go there if you want to be ripped off. more

Dr Montague - Skokie Banfield - Terrible 10/16/2011

TERRIBLE. Dr. Ann Montague is RUDE. We've had a Wellness Plan for over 3 years and somehow avoided direct contact with her until this year. I took my dog as a walk-in because he was exhibiting signs of perhaps having an ear infection. I was told "we only have one vet today and unfortunately can't see him....come back tomorrow." So I went home but he was still doing the same thing so I went back the next morning and was told they couldn't see him again. What????? I thought this place welcomed walk ins and there is a sign up on the wall that says Sick and Injured Animals Are Seen First. What about not at all???????? So I went home, told my husband what I had experienced. We used some previous medication and ear wash and he stopped the behaviors that led us to believe he had an ear infection so we thought we took care of it. Horrible customer service and staff, very rude doctor 5/16/2011

HORRIBLE. i have been going there for 6 mths and all you do is wait 1-2 hours! the doctor is rude. they staff always has an excuse such as ""they are short staffed"" or ""there is only one vet"". today i had a 430 appt and when i got there was told it was 60-75 minute wait which will easily turn into one hour. DO NOT GO THERE!! its worse then a regular dr or ER visit. i cant wait to get out of my puppy wellness plan and go somewhere else. last month we had another appt, i called to see if we can get in sooner, they said yes, so i get there for them to tell me they are an hour late....HUH? they jsut told me to go in early. it happens way to much at this place. literally every visit!! jsut be prepared when u go in to wait a very long time and see a lot of angry dog owners..... \r \r went back a second time a week later. the experience was even worse! dr ann montague is very rude! her staff nicole cant control the office. there is no order. its chaos. left a message with corporate and also contacting states attorney. you dont get the customer service you pay for. every time you are there , there are angry pet owners. there hasnt been a time and ive been there about 10 t imes that a patient isnt compalinging about the wait. always over 60 minutes, sometimes even 90 minutes. DR ANN MONTAGUE doesnt apology or care. she specifically tells you she wont listen to complaints. very nasty. not a good vibe.\r \r i called customer service to complain at 5pm, at 8pm the doctor calls me at home. dr ann montague, mimicking and laughing at us saying it was a waste of time to call customer service because they dont care nor do anything. unbelievable this dr. she is european and very rude and snobby.i couldnt believe she actually harassed me at my own house. i am going to follow up with states attorney office.and petsmart. i cant beleive the reputation dr montague has given banfield hospital.\r \r as i was leving, another patient was complaining bout same thing. this dr feels she has control over the customers and their pets therefore she treats u very badly andbmakes u feel like u r stuck with banfield because of a one yr contract we had to sign for the puppy package more
