Banfield is expensive even with the wellness plan. If you check around you'll be able to save on meds and other vet services. They however are wonderful with my shy dog. Banfield off Alameda likes: Vet usually talks with you about your dog (responsive), written reports are very helpful, most techs there are very loving to your pets. Located in Petsmart so very convenient. I use different vets for other dogs and cat. Broadview has the lowest costs, however I give them low points for showing loving care to your babies. They remind me of a production line, however not so efficient, you can wait there for up to an hour until your dog is seen--guess you sacrifice some quality for low cost, and not much/nil interaction with vet about your pet. Last visit I had with Broadview, I asked to speak to the vet never did get to talk with him, after asking at the desk and two calls later, he never called me back. The vet tech called me instead. So I called Banfield to see if they could answer more

When did Corporate America swallow up the veterinary industry!!! Please consider using your brains to make some decisions instead of some company policy! I'd rather know my veterinarian has my family member's best intrest at heart rather than his own bottom line. I understand it is a business like any other, but try to tone it down a bit! more

Anal Gland obstruction cost 2/15/2012

Feb 14, 2014, this is the second time complaint I have for this place. Their prices are outrages. get a quote before you walk in this clinic. They wanted to charge me $1,113.90 for my dog. My dog had obstructed Anal Glans and it didn't work to express them ourselves. So we went to the vet to see if they could relieve some of the pressure. They said we would save $300.00 if I did their Dental Plan at the same visit. so our cost would be around $800.00. For $800.00 we would get teeth cleaning, tooth extraction, and they were going to do Penrose drain,incision biopsy, Open & Debride Abscess, also something called a Histopathology. All we wanted is to have his glans expressed or lanced by veterinarian. We decided to get another Quote. We went to Tenaker 895 Laredo St in Aurora co 80011, and spoke to a Vet named Douglas Brooks, who by the way didn't try to sell us everything under the moon. He did a Lancing with Mild anesthetic and also, gave our dog his Rabies shots and it only cost us $20 more

Banfield The Pet Hospital? - Aurora S is a great pet hospital 12/31/2009

We have brought my two cats to the Aurora S Banfield since we received them as kittens. The people there have always been nice and courteous to us and the cats. The assistance and the Dr.s are gentle with the animals.They offer, but don't push, health plans that fit your pets that allow easier payments and save hundreds of dollars every appointment. I'm glad we chose this Banfield. Wouldn't change a thing. more

This is a GREAT facility -- Staff is VERY professional 8/11/2009

Being that I transferred to Mansfield TX, I didn't realize how GREAT the staff & drs were here!! I unfortunately came to TX and had an awful experience with the staff, etc. Even though I am no longer going to the Aurora Banfield, The Office Manager told me MORE about Texas than the Mansfield Office staff. Need to give them TEN stars. more

Quality Compassionate Care Provided 12/8/2008

No, this is not the Mayo Clinic for pets. That being said, I have found the Veterinarians and staff at this Banfield to be professional and caring. This is a very busy clinic, but you can walk in and almost always be seen. They will always see your pet if it is an emergency. I adopted a dog who turned out to have heart worm. The staff at this Banfield got us both through the illness and my dog went on to live several more years. As far as fees are concerned, I now have a dog who it turns out has Lupus. I took him to both Banfield and Alameda East (you know the Animal Planet Vet). Was the care better at Alameda East? Yes. The cost was also significantly higher. If expense is not a concern I recommend Alameda East. If you are unable to afford the absolute best this Aurora Banfield is a reasonable alternative. Some reviewers have expressed outrage at being charged for the Wellness Plan after a pet passes away. This is heart wrenching, but it is also clearing spelled out in the plan detai more

NOT A HOSPITAL DEFINATELY A RIP OFF HORRIBLE HORRIBLE 7/17/2007

Constant turn over in staff. What you have here are kids in training. If that is something you are comfortable with and your pet needs nothing more than a dental cleaning this is the place for you. All about making Banfield a buck. Claims qualified in small animal care yet is not again all about getting you in the door and selling you something extra. Go to a real vet. Unless you have no serious concerns and just want to take advantage of the free office visit days in order to update your pets shots stay clear of this lady & office. They will give you wrong information they will lie they will do whatever they need in order to make a buck and themselves look good. I dont know about you but for my pet this is not something I am interested in. See a real Vet. And whatever you do DO NOT take ferrets or cavys any type of small animal to this quack. SHE IS NOT QUALIFIED yet she will take your money not an issue. Staff is completely unqualified. Somekind of vet tech school training program. M more
