BANFIELD PET HOSPITAL, IRVING TEXAS 5/14/2011

My dog was obviously dying. He couldn't walk, was yelping, had breathing problems. I called Banfield to get him put down. They said they would do it. I took him in and low and behold....all they wanted to do was upsell me on unnecessary bloodwork, xrays, a dental cleaning, and toenail clipping. Why? Because the $160 for euthanizing wasn't enough? They wanted ANOTHER $220 on top of it all. Then they said they wouldn't put him down because he could live ANOTHER WEEK. I yelled at them. They told me to get out of the hospital or they would call the cops. I told them to go ahead and call them. Then I left with my dog and went to another pet hospital. They examined him. He had a stroke. And they agreed to put him down. He is no longer in pain....NO THANKS TO BANFIELD. They wanted to let him suffer! I will NEVER go to another BANFIELD again!!!!!! more

Great Doctors, A little pricey 5/19/2010

I have been here several times with both of my dogs. Always a good experience. We used to use the banfield in lewisville, tx until we brought one of our dogs their when she had literally died and we had brought her back with doggie cpr. The doctors only argued that she was sleeping and she died two days later. She was only 4. We are on a plan or else it would be very expensive. Always attentive doctors. more

Exceptional Service 4/25/2009

Dr. Russell and her staff are really top notch! You can tell they really love all the animals. Last fall, Dr. Russell definitely went above and beyond when she took my Kaylee to her home one weekend when she was really sick. With other illnesses along the way, this spring Kaylee crossed the rainbow bridge, but Dr. Russell and her staff were there every step of the way trying to make her better and as comfortable as possible. While the cost of pet care is expensive anyway, without the wellness plans that Banfield offers, it would have been a great deal worse. If you're ever in need of vet services, I highly recommend Dr. Russell. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better and more caring individual. more

They are amazing! 3/12/2009

I drive 4.5 hours to see Dr. Russel. She & her staff are amazing & treat my kitty like he is royalty. She pieced his hips back together after an unfortunate accident & I still drive to see her after being transferred to a different base. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Jenny. :) more

Convenient and Nice Vet 8/13/2006

Dr. Russell and her staff are very nice and open 6 days a week. Banfield is somewhat pricey, but the Pet Plans help with that and a good vet is worth the extra money. She is not pushy about extra testing for pets and is willing to work with pet parents to stay within their budget. PROS: Friendly and Convenient CONS: Very Busy and a Little Pricey more

Expensive, but very sweet to animals! 7/6/2005

Banfield is the vet in your local Petsmart. They are a bit expensive but sometimes send out coupons and discount deals. I normally get my animals their flea meds here - the vet is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about pretty much everything. They also make up cute little treat bags for your animals and let you know about special training sessions. It's very convenient and you can expect that your animal will be treated like a superstar. more
