Terrible service at the Banfield in Duluth, GA 3/3/2011

I have been a Banfield Wellness Plan customer for the last 8 years. Our experience with our previous vets at Banfield in other states was simply great! However, the one in Duluth, GA, is terrible. Whenever I am there for my pets regular check-ups or sick visits, I never leave that place feeling good. They simply try to rip off the worried pet owners. They recommend unnecessary procedures and medicines. When my pets are perfectly okey and are there for routine check-ups, they try their best to sell at least one that's not covered by plan. They just give you the estimate w/o explaning what they are and why they recommend them unless I ask about each item. They even decline to run a heartworm test that's covered under the plan anyway when my previous vets at Banfield always did for my pets. \r \r The only reason, I think, they're still in business is thanks to their great location. The staff is almost always tired and blank (far from kind or nice). After being with this location for two years, I decided that my pets and I do not deserve being treated this way when I've been a loyal customer of Banfield and its wellness plan for so many years. \r \r To those moms and dads out there who're considering going to Banfield... Banfield wellness plan is great, but, you'll never get the full benefit of it from this location, Duluth, Banfield. Seriously...Walk away, and go to other sincere and caring vets and their staff. Do not waste your money here. \r more

I agree 6/12/2007

I've never owned a dog before and decided to take on the challenge two years ago. I shopped around for the "Best Deal" possible as far as looking for a vet and decided to try Banfield out. I went there atleast 4 times before signing up and each time I went the receiptionist was super helpful and super sweet to Sabih. During the summer my dog got a huge tick in his ear and when i went there i got an estimate of $400 for everything. I talked to the staff because that was a lot of money esp. for a college student and they were able to relate and understand and took off $150. The surgery went perfectly fine and they even called me to check up on Sabih later on that day and the following day to see how he was doing. I've read the reviews and i'm shocked to read some of the stuff I have read. I can relate to the on going payment. My dog passed away and I even gave them my dog to bury but they were still charging me for it but luckly it was only for one more month, so no problems!!! here is more

Happy with Lilburn Banfield 4/29/2007

I've read some horrible reviews about Banfield Pet Hospitals across the nation, but I am very happy with the one in Lilburn Georgia. We started with the Wellness plan in January 2007 when my puppy was 8 weeks old. They've never advised test that didn't need to be done. As a matter of fact my puppy had entropian up until she was about 4 months old. It was suggested by another vet when she was weeks old that she would probably need surgery at about 5 months to correct the problem. When she was about 4 months old, Dr Williams noticed that she didn't have anymore tearing or staining and it looked like the problem had worked itself out as her face grew. When we took her back in April to be spayed, he did a thorough examination once he got her sedated and said she didn't need the surgery. He could have just as easily said she did need it if they were only in it for the money like some other reviews of other Banfields I've read. \r \r I'm very happy and my puppy loves Dr Williams and the staff. more
