Alright, this should be a pretty simple review. Bandera is one of my favorite restaurants in LA! There is no corking fee, so feel free to bring your favorite bottle of wine. The food is outstanding, and honestly I have to say the prime rib is better than some other better known establishments in Beverly Hills (you know who I am talking about!). So, great food, no corking fee and a hip and swanky bar area with a piano player equals one of my favorite destinations in LA. more

This place is awesome! The service and food are excellent. They have live jazz music many nights and you can bring in a bottle of wine void of any corkage fee. It really saves you a ton of money, considering the type of food you can order there. They do a great job with every aspect of their business. Bandera has become a staple in the restaurants that I frequent in LA. The food is fantastic, but I usually don't stray to far from the tuna poke, macho salad, and banana pie for dessert. But when I do stray everything I have tried has been great. Also, you can bring in your own bottle of wine for dinner which can really make a difference in your bill at the end of the night. My friends and I go here a lot and the only bad thing I can say is that if you don't have a reservation you have to wait a long time, but the plus side is that there is usually good people watching and great live music being played. Yum. Filet Mignon with bernaise... delicious. I went there with some girlfriends and we all had a great time. Every one of us loved what we ordered. I think it was the first time my high maintenance friends didn't send their food back. The ribs were ridiculously good. They also have a jazz trio, it was a really nice touch. The service and ambiance in this place is fantastic. I've been here several times, and the best meals were the burger and the steak/enchilada combo. The only meal I didn't think was worth the $$$ was the chicken. Whenever my gf and I feel like going to a fancier place, this is always our first choice. more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I've been going to Bandera for years and have never been disappointed. I LOVE IT! The atmosphere is very nice; live jazz and a professional crowd (for the most part). Everything on the menu is excellent. You really can't go wrong. My favorite is the amazing prime rib. The ribs are awesome too, macho salad is sooo good, yummy corn bread, and the deserts are great. I love the banana cream pie and the coffee is really, really good (I called to ask what kind it is and got it)! Also, the wine selection is nice and they are generous with the pours (gotta love that!). The prices aren't too bad. I meet my friends often for dinner and we bring our own bottle of wine (NO CORKAGE FEE at the tables). The service has always been terrific. I've never had a problem; food comes fast and servers are very nice. If you ask for one, they'll even give you a bone to bring home to your dog. My dog goes crazy for them!! I took my family when they visited from out of town and they loved it too. My boyfriend said he didn't like steak/prime rib until he had the prime rib at Bandera (he loves it there). If you are a meat-lover, this is the place to go!! They take reservations, and I suggest making them (there can be a long wait at times). more

My husband and I absolutely love this place! Great place to just stop in for a drink and listen to the live music, or to have a romantic dinner. The food is amazing! I am a vegetarian and I love getting the veggie platter...they let you choose from their sides so I always get a different combination of things, and I've never disliked anything that I have tried. Their mac & cheese is to die for! My husband is a big meat eater and he has loved everything he's had as well. The service is always very friendly too! Pros: Delicious food, great service! more

I really like the food here and have been here many times. I love the macho salad and the tuna poke. The big comfy booths are the best. In the center is a large bar and it attracts a slightly older, single crowd. My boyfriend likes the burger here. The chicken is great. The desserts are great too. The only thing that I have ever tried that I did not like was the lamb, it was disgusting. My friend ordered it and we all hated it. Always have a great meal at Bandera. You can't go wrong with the Grilled Artichoke or Macho Salad. The staff is helpful and attentive. Pros: live music, artichoke, booth seating more

It's a little cheesy at the bar with the aging cougars hovering over the 30 something men in their suits and ties but the smell is delicious. Must tries are the Grilled Artichoke Heart and the Tuna Poke. The portions are great and prices resonable with good service. more

This place is right down the street from my house, and it's one of my favorite places to have a good meal. This place is rocking all week long, and the food is great. They have a different jazz band that plays, and it has a great bar scene. The duo dip is one of my favorites and the macho salad is untoucable.....roasted chicken, goat cheese, dates, and avocado....do I need to say anything more. Pros: Great Bar Scene Cons: wait more

This restaurant has a very happening bar scene for the location. It is a great place to go just for a drink or to eat - the food is GREAT. Way better than it's sister, Houstons. more
