Large, impersonal, vaguely rude, and overpriced. If you want help or information on something less than $200 you probably wont get good service. Good for checking out new products...

Best Music Store Period 3/29/2011

My kids love taking lessons here and I love shopping here. Alan and his "family" treat everyone with respect and fun. THey gladly match prices but they already have great deals. I asked them to help our kids play and they donated a PA lighting and Alan donated money personally. You cant beat that. I bought my Martin and my Fender from them and both times the prices were better then the net. Larry sets them up on site (GC doesnt do that) and the teachers are all great. Support these great folks. There;s a reason they always win best of the Bay. Last year they were voted best Indy Music Store 2010 nationally! more

Much more then GC will ever be 3/28/2011

Does GC carry digital pianos, boutique instruments, large selection of accessories, no. Bananas does. Does GC have high employee turn over and low loyalty ratings? Yes. Bananas doesn't. Does GC give back to the community and support our schools, PTAs etc.? No. Bananas Does. Far from a GC wanna be (sounds like someone from GC slinging mud). My kids and I love this place and they do everything they say they will. Plus they have great prices and better service. You are crazy to go anywhere else. We even saw the owner of Bananas at a state PTA meeting in Sacramento fighting to help make Music and Arts a core subject for our kids. No one from GC was there. Support these folks, they are on our side. more

Best Music Store in Bay Area 3/27/2011

Far from guitar center these are real people with real experience and VERY friendly. They have great prices that often beat online and GC and you can support local folks. They have a local community action program that gives tons of money back to schools and non profit groups. Online stores and GC dont do that. They have a price matching policy so you never have to pay more, so how can anyone call them over priced? Other reviewer sounds bitter. Give these nice folks a shot. My kids love taking lessons there and I love hanging out there. more

A guitar center wanna be 2/1/2011

Large, impersonal, vaguely rude, and overpriced. If you want help or information on something less than $200 you probably wont get good service. Good for checking out new products, or for immediate needs like strings or heads otherwise just buy online. more
