COME ON FOLKS...IT'S NOT REALLY THAT BAD! 8/17/2006

My experience at Bamboo has always been pleasurable. As Chinese restaurants go, the atmosphere is cool, quiet, and pleasing. The bar is a little small, but most people have their cocktails at their tables. The chinese art is fun to look at; the aquarium a pleasant distraction while one waits to eat, and the waiters and waitresses are very accomodating. I have only one honest complaint about the restaurant. The management's insistence on having valet parking. I find it ridiculous to valet a car when the parking lot for the establishment is only twenty feet away. Other than that, I say Bamboo is clearly one of the better chinese restaurants in Los Angeles. more

If you want good food seek another place 8/11/2005

This Chinese Restaurant is horible. Not only did my family get sick, but the food was not good. The prices on the menu were affordable, and they offer a lot of specials. Lunch specials include soup, entree, and cookies. I would be weary of going to this place, because of my experience. The service was ok, and the resturant itself is small. Be prepared to wait, and feel cramped next to others coming into this place. If you want good Chinese food look elsewhere. There are many good places to chose from on Ventura Blvd. This place is a tiny place that doesn't have a nice atmosphere. I wouldn't bring children to this place, because of the lack of room. more
