Nicely arranged, speedy security 2/28/2006

BWI is one of the major airports serving the Baltimore/DC area--and is by far my favorite one. It has many satellite lots with cheap parking, which is probably my favorite aspect of this airport. Additionally, it has a very nice observation deck--great place to waste time if you're waiting for your flight. They have free parking in the garage closest to the airport for 1hr--perfect in order to pick up a loved one without incurring a ridiculous fee. All in all, they seem to have thought about what a consumer might want in constructing this one. more

BWI 2/28/2006

BWI is a large and reliable airport serving the greater Baltimore and Washington metro area. I've used this airport on several occasions and have had good experiences each time. They have recently undergone extensive renovations, including a new parking garage and plenty of covered walkways to the main terminal. I also like that the parking garages actually guide you to empty spots by showing numbers of free spaces at the end of every row. My only complaint about BWI is the food options for travelers. There's not many chain establishments here, so you're pretty much stuck at a sit-down restaurant or the City Deli (overpriced) grill. more

BWI Airport 12/30/2005

The Baltimore Washington International Airport is large, yet feels very easy to navigate. They have a good mix of flights in and out every day to top and more obscure locations. They have a few low cost carriers that fly out of here as well, which makes this a busy airport. In general, the airport is set up well and looks updated. The only complaint I have is the management of the security line. One Monday morning I found myself (no joke) in a line that must have been 3/4 a mile long while the clock ticked down to 20 minutes before a flight. Thankfully they will pull you for the flights, but this management lends for a very stressful experience. more
