Dance Classes That are Kid and Parent Friendly! 11/26/2005

Ballet Etc is a top-notch studio. Owner Tom Morrell was voted Michigan Dance Teacher of the Year a few years back and if you've ever met him or seen him teach you would know why. He is great with children and is committed to keeping his class sizes small in order to ensure his students are learning proper technique. He is also very senstive about keeping classes (and recitals) affordable. His other teachers are all wonderful as well and his productions are always first class! more

  • M - Th: 1am - 9pm; Fri: 1am - 7pm; Sat: 9am - 5pm. Thomas Morrell began his dance training at Western Michigan University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education,Majoring in Physical Education and Dance. He earned his Master of Fine Arts Degree from The Universityof Michigan in 1981 and began dancing professionally with the Harbinger Dance Company in Detroit. He spent five years in Flint as Principal Dancer with Ballet Michigan and three more years with Memphis Concert Ballet before moving back to his native Michigan. Ballet Etc. has provided dance education to the Traverse City region since 1996. We offer classes in Ballet,Modern,Jazz,Tap,Irish and Pre-School Dance for ages 3 through adult. Ballet Etc. is a competition-free dance studio. Ballet Etc. provides the tools with which to continue the pursuit of technical excellence. We believe that strong ballet training is the foundation for all dance styles and although not required,all students are encouraged to take ballet.
