Great for the price 6/27/2009

I had my child's party at Ball Park Lanes and it was great fun. The party (not really a party) consisted of two games for the kids and shoes...no food or other favors included. Even though food was not included in the price, I was allowed to bring in food from outside so it was cool. The staff was very friendly and helpful; and I would plan another informal get-together there in the future. Thanks Ball Park Lanes for making this a very memorable birthday for my child. Pros: Great price, great staff, great atmosphere Cons: No arcade games, children's parties not all inclusive more

Ball Park Lane has so much ""Aloha"" 12/10/2008

During my vacation to New York in July, I had visited the Ball Park Lane. I had so much fun; there were so many people of all ages, enjoying themselves. The restrooms are so clean, which is very important to a traveler. And talk about customer service, it was outstanding from management (John) greeting as you walk in, to meeting a guy behind the counter named Sammy, who was hilarious. By the end of the night you got to know a great guy who allowed you to call him Uncle Teddy. Back at home in Hawaii I tell everyone that the Ball Park Lanes has so much Aloha. I will definitely be visiting again. more

Crowded but great 8/3/2005

Ball Park is always crowded but thats a great sign. Ball Park is located in the downtown part of the Bronx where most people dont have much to do. They come to Ball park to stay off the streets and out of trouble and with the lost cost of bowling at Ball park many youths can afford to stay out of trouble. The food is good and affordable. The owners are very friendly and there are many leagues for all ages. Different days of the week which is convienent. Pros: computerized Scoring, Great Food , Transportation Cons: crowded more

you get what you pay for 12/30/2002

The lowest priced bowling I've seen in the Bronx. However, you get what you pay for. Amongst the annoyances is a No Smoking policy that isn't enforced. Be prepared to go home smelling of cigarettes even if you don't smoke. The lanes are prone to breakdown. There are over 40 lanes, but management loves to stick groups in adjacent lanes even at off peak hours. It is extremely annoying when youre bowling with 2 people and management put 6 teenagers on the next lane when there are only 6 or 7 seats. Ball Park Lanes is a place to avoid on Friday and Saturday nights if you want to bowl a without much distraction. Thats when the younger crowd is in. Sunday nights are more docile. Some positives other than low prices are that there is hardly ever a wait time and the scoreboards are computerized and easy to operate. Pros: inexpensive, low wait times, computerized scoreboa Cons: smoking, young crowd, old lanes more
