Baldwin Animal Hospital 8/22/2010

Dr. Saslow and his staff are the best in the business. We have been with Dr. Saslow for 17 years. Dr. Saslow and his staff are very compassionate and caring. Dr. Saslow is a miracle worker when it comes to surgery and when our dog had to go to heaven, the doctor and staff were so compassionate and understanding for our loss. Our dogs are like our children, and since the passing of our first boy, we have added 2 more to our family. They are patients now, and we are looking forward to many happy and healthy years together with Baldwin Animal Hospital. more

Baldwin Animal Hospital & Bird is Number One! 7/31/2009

Dr. Saslow is truly the BEST vet in the business today! Besides his kind, caring and compassionate demeanor, he truly loves his profession and the animals. He takes all of time needed to talk to you and explain in layman terms, exactly what is happening to your beloved family member. I have not been to the hospital with my dogs since I moved 100 miles away however, although that has been 9 years ago (!), I still recommend him to anyone living within the 5 boroughs or Long Island...even upstate like me if they're willing to make the trip! He saved my dog's life and I will be forever grateful to him...she is still going strong! Yes, he IS more expensive than most, but soooooo worth it! When in crisis, I would not hesitate to make the trip with any pet...he can diagnose and treat when all others have failed! more

Before moving to Florida, Dr. Saslow was my cat's veterinarian and he and his staff are the BEST there is. Dr. Saslow is an excellent doctor. I cannot find anyone like him down here in Florida. more

Great place for animals 11/15/2005

I just cannot say enough great things about this veterinarian! As a first time dog owner, I was neurotic about every little thing and dragged my dog to the vet constantly. Oftentimes if no medication was needed (just a little of the doctors time), I wasnt even charged a visit fee. The doctor is truly compassionate about animals. In fact, he has state of the art equipment that most vets dont have. Usually if your pet needs an expensive medical test on its heart, etc, youd have to drive miles to a specialty vet. Instead, this doctor bought all of the equipment for his office. He does surgery with lasers at your option which is less invasive and has a far shorter recovery time. He can easily be reached at off-hours in an emergency and will make arrangements to see you pet immediately if hes available. Theres no wait for an appointment, which is incredible considering how great of a vet he is. I would never trust my dog with another vet again! more

great for birds 11/15/2005

this is a great hospital if you own a bird since it is one of their specialties. Most vets know most of their knowledge about dogs and cats, but this clinic know about birds, they are very nice and caring and patient.they treat the animals like they were humans with care and compassion. PROS: great staff CONS: none more

Good vet 7/23/2005

Dr. Saslow is an excellent diagnostician and was able to figure out and treat the numerous problems we had with our dog. His staff is also excellent and efficient. The location is great because there is lots of parking in front and in the back so there is room to walk your dog before and after the visit. more
