I had been having pain in my lower back on and off for years. Before coming to Balanced Health another doctor had tried to adjust me spine using a machine, pounding the spine to try to get it back into place. No results this time. \r A friend of mine who could barely walk- after a couple treatments he walked suggested I come to Balanced Health. When I first came to the office the way you did the x-rays of my head, shoulders, and back. The girls are very pleasant and immediately liked all doctors.\r \r I think I can stand longer and legs and butt have stopped going to sleep. Also I can lay on my back now. My 1st visit was at a health and wellness fair at the school where I worked. I had a sore knee and had my free adjustment for that. I had been having this problem for a few months. I had numbness in both arms as well as pain in my upper and lower back and both arms for about 1 1/2 years. Previously I had gone to Physical therapy and verve tests. Diagnosed with a pinched nerve in the neck the Drs recommended surgery if numbness worsened, otherwise I just put up with it. Several friends recommended Chiropractic care. I had a great deal of pain in my back and hips for years. This caused me to have difficulty walking. I had previously tried back surgery, but that left me with a messed up leg. I had Severe pain in the neck, back, and ribs with a herniated disc. The pain was located from my neck to my hips and I had been having it for about 11 months. I came to Balanced Health because I had not tried their method ( NUCCA) before. I had some doubts that it would work do to the minimal amount of touching/ adjustments. I had experienced neck and back pain ever since I had polio in 1954- thats 56 years. I knew one leg was longer than the other , but I thought nothing could be done about it. For years the pain was mainly in my neck and shoulders; sometimes it radiated down my arms. But in recent years the pain extended to low back which made it hard to walk any distance. Climbing stairs was also a problem. Shortly after I had polio ( the same year) my father took me to a chiropractor who said I had displacement of the atlas. He treated me the old fashioned way, and I did have some relief at the at time. Later I developed very severe headaches but didn't associate them with a chiropractic problem. I took medicine for them but got no relief from the drugs whatsoever- in fact the drugs worsened my overall condition. First went to a traditional chiropractor and that was helpful. Then a NUCCA specialist was suggested and we decided to try it. Actually, I doubted anything would help because the problem had gone on for so long. The office was clean and cheerful. The message I got was hopeful! I watched an educational video about NUCCA , which was helpful as well. You can never have to much of that- hope itself is a healing influence. I felt better immediately following the first treatment and continued to improve steadily. I could walk further and pain greatly diminished. Now I have very little pain- not enough to complain about. Yes, defiantly, I would recommend chiropractic to others- it certainly wont do any harm and thats important. more

Pain started on left side of the head and radiated to the right side. Also the back of the neck. Primary care physician prescribed a strong medication. Didn't work. Sent to a neurologist and given 2 different medications. After several months went off everything. Dr. Stan was the best. The office was busy but ran very smoothly. Bad pain in my hips almost every time I would leave a sitting position. The worst pain was in my right hip. It started 1 ? years before my first visit, to happen with regularity. It was multiple times a day by the time I went to the chiropractor. My legs were evened out upon the first adjustment. I started at Balanced Health in 2006 suffering from back pain and Migraines. I haven't had a migraine in as long as I can remember! What's nice about this technique is there is no popping or cracking involved. The adjustment feels like they are tickling you behind the ear.
