Someone should really just take this place out and put in another divey honkytonk. At least there'd be no illusions. This used to be a place I loved to go for soup and a salad on rainy days, but I swear I'll never go again. Staff here is either decent or a BIG miss- if you could get any dirtier looks from one bartender it might be almost kitschy, but in my opinion he just has no business in food service. The food here is inconsitant- sometimes the token Newcastle Cheese Soup is thick and creamy, other times you can stand a spoon straight up in a lumpy mess.\r

Now I'm not obsessive compulsive or anything, but none of the servers here wash their hands. There isn't even a sink visible, however a giant tub of 'antibacterial hand gel' is sitting right on the bar- next to where they're mixing drinks!?!?! I only noticed this the last time I went (and I mean the LAST time)- because it seemed everyone in the place was coughing and sneezing. I was utterly grossed out.\r

Finally, the cheeseball top 40 music is BLASTING throughout the place, and forget about asking anyone to change the channel- even if it is the same game on all 5 tv screens. Pool here is hourly, and will run up a tab at the end of the night you might have to morgage your house to pay. I'd go anywhere on Lower Broadway but here...
Cons: Service, Food, Atmosphere
