I just moved to Nashville and as soon as I went into Bailey's I instantly liked it. It's a fun place, the food was delicious and the people were very nice. While I was there they ...

Bad Service... Below Average Food 7/14/2006

We visited Bailey's on a Friday night... one of the people in our party uses a wheelchair and the hostess seemed at a complete loss in regards to seating us in an area that would be accessible. We finally just picked one of the few accessilbe tables, despite her mumbling something about the server not being pleased. The server was absolutely inept and inattentive. He got our first round of drinks correctly, but all went downhill from there. I ordered a patty melt and fries and asked that they hold the pickles... my sandwich was served with a huge pile of pickles on top of the bread... I asked for ketchup when our meals were served but after more than 5 minutes had to go get it myself, I asked for a Corona Light but was served a Corona Extra. People in our party drinking soft drinks never received any refills. The place was NOT busy and we observed the server just lounging around doing nothing rather than seeing to our needs. The burgers were dry and there were pieces of paper on the cheese... YUCK... Although there was a manager lurking about, he never inquired about our satisfaction nor did the hostess ask about our dining experience when we were leaving. Even though we live just a couple of blocks away, we will NOT be going back to Bailey's and strongly urge others to stay away from this place! Pros: Nice patio on the roof Cons: Bad Food, Bad Service more

girl friendly sports bar 3/2/2006

I am a Nashville native and have been a downtoen groupie for several years. I have been to Bailey's several times in the past and had mediocre experiences there. Recently some frirnds and I (mostly female) decided to start out night there. our server was very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. we were seated upstairs and despite a lrge group and several finicky eaters our food was delicious and every order was correct! we had such a great time we ended our date there as well. Since my last visit i am definitly going to be showing my face around there more often. It seems the perfect place to have some afer work cocktails with my girls or share some fries and draft beer with that special sports freak in your life! Pros: good service, good value Cons: parking, typical bar menu more

EXPENSIVE-LOUD-CRAPPY MUSIC 10/23/2005

I went to Bailey's at 10:50 pm. It was too crowded and the crappy music that they were playing was way too loud! The service is slow. The drinks and appetizers are also well overpriced. I would not recommend going here. There are plenty of other places downtown! Pros: Good Location Cons: Expensive Drinks, Crowded, Very Noisy more

Good, but... 6/30/2003

Great food and decent beer specials, but depending on the server, could be awful. I have been there a couple times and had a great time at the bar, but we had a terrible server (i am a server) who ignored my friends and i at the last pool table because she forgot to ring in my meal, while she was happily attending to the frat boys at the next table. It might have been OK if she'd at least returned to explain or apologize, but i never got food and my friends never got any more drinks. If you go, sit at the bar. Good place to go if there's no pool tables open at Buffalo Billiards, but not if you're thirsty. Pros: Food is great, Drink specials, Atmosphere Cons: Inadequate service more

Always A Good Time 6/27/2003

The few times I've been to Bailey's the food has been excellent (though sometimes slow to come out), the service has been great and the $2 pints are unbeatable! I'm a huge fan and recommend this bar to anyone who wants a good deal on a drink, space to hang and people to people watch. Pros: great food, open late, nice crowd Cons: upstairs gets hot, parking more

a server who knows 9/29/2002

Bailey's is still new to downtown and has a few kinks to work out, give it a chance. I love the $2 pint nights on ANY draft beer. I start at Bailey's and end my night there. They always have new servers there but if you frquent there like myself you know the chics to grab for great service ... Lesley, Cat, Lea or Brooke. kick ass girls! more

MUG CLUB PARADISE 8/22/2002

Bailey's has a little know secret - THE MUG CLUB. Pay 25 bucks on your first mug membership and get your first 23 ouce beer free. From then on, you get half price wings and all your 23 ounce beers are at pint price. Servers are AWESOME!!! Bartenders are always slammed. HICKORY HOLLOW LOCATION IN THE BEST!!!!! Pros: great prices, mug club VALUE!, tons of televisions Cons: sometimes crowded more

Don't even bother! 7/10/2002

I have been to Bailey's a couple times and will never return! The service is slow, the bartenders can be very rude, and the food usually comes out cold. I have tried to speak to the managers on several occasions and they are RUDE! They do not care about fixing the problem with your visit. I went there to watch a sports game (it is a sports bar), but upon requesting them to put the game on a certain TV, I had to ask three times, and they never did put the game on. They are not accommodating. The drinks are also overpriced. I would not recommend going here. There are plenty of other places downtown! Cons: expensive drinks, rude managers, unaccommodating more

Food, Beer, Sports and Women 6/21/2002

My first visit to Bailey's happened during Fan Fair 2001. I was hungry and thirsty. As I walked down Broadway, I ambled past Bailey's. Everyone inside looked happy, so I joined them. The food was tasty and filling. They had my favorite beer on tap, Newcastle....and oh those beautiful young women....I returned throughout my stay and then again in 2002. the BBQ ribs are my favorite. Try the brownie dessert if you dare. Pros: friendly staff, moderate prices, clean restrooms Cons: zero parking more
