the white male waiter was a crook 8/24/2011

The food at Bahama Breeze good for what it is,however, depending on your waiter you may get literally ripped off as in they will change tip amount on your debt card without your consent. Funny story last Sunday, August 21, I was eating lunch at Bahama Breeze though waiter was not great I left him three dollar cash tip while paying for the meal itself on my debt card. Now of course my meal balance was only 12.17 but some how according to bank statement the waiter or someone working for Bahama Breeze had the audacity to still add 2.00 tip to my debt card after I already wrote in tip amount zero since as I said previsouly had already left a cash tip. This Uncool and fraud! Something like this has never happen to before and will never ever eat there again. Since I just discovered this today, I will be giving them a call. more

My waiter was a little strange (silly) acting, but other than that I was pretty happy with the experience. more

awful... 12/12/2010

Customer Service needs improvement. I made reservations there for my bridal shower three months in advance. When we got there they said they had no record of our reservation. When asked for the manager and he came and told us the same thing. We gave him the name of the person who handled our reservation. The manager told us that she wasnt there so there was no way to verify that we had a reservation. My Maid of honor went back to the hotel to get the email that sent to her in proof of our reservation. While she was gone the manager called me a liar to my face saying that the lady who made our reservation would never have "made a group reservation for such a small party".. When my maid of honor arrived with the proof that we had a reservation the manager did not apologize only walked away saying that he would "get us a table together". 45 minutes later we are seating in a area that is waaay too small for our party. we were elbow to elbow and some of my friends had to sit at a seperate more

Bahamarita 4/11/2009

I've been here quite a few different times. Their virgin bahamarita keeps me coming back and they have really good jerkchicken/carribean food, but there have been instances where their service is horrible. The hostess/host doesn't really care that you're there, the food was kind of bland, and it was just a horrible experience that one time. I tried not to let it get to me, but I had brought one of my friends who insisted that their service is bad. The second time I brought her, it was equally as bad and she refuses to go with me again. Pros: Drinks, fish, spice Cons: Service more

WORSE SERVICE EVER!!!! FAT LAZY SERVERS AND MANAGERS- SPOILED SEAFOOD AND EXPENSIVE :( 7/1/2008

I've driven by for years and even drove through the valet once to see how long the wait would be (60-90 minutes). On my only visit, I found that things had really gone down at this restaurant. When I arrived at 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night, the parking lot was almost empty. There was an ugly road block to keep customers out of some disgusting gravel parking lot, but no valet to be found. This should have been my first clue. The hostesses were in outer space and never spoke to me. One took menus and just started walking away, while the other one pointed the way the first was walking (as if I was a mind reader). The server took 15 minutes to come to my table. He looked like a guy that holds signs up at stop lights begging for money. He looked like he crawled out of his cardboard box and had just came into work, smelled terrible (B.O.) and was unshaven. His greeting at the table was "" That sux, you're by yourself. "" I wasn't sure if he was flirting or making fun of the fact that I did not have a date on a Friday night. Either way, it made me feel uncomfortable. Later, while waiting for my drinks, I watched my waiter and a rather round, short manager laughing and talking in the corner service station for at least 15 minutes while I was dying of thirst. When I ordered my dinner, the kitchen was out of the first three selections that I made. I can understand not having tomatoes with the recent scare, but to not have a fish special, steak, and sweet potatoes was not what I expected for the high menu prices. I finally chose the Seafood Paella and waited 50 minutes for my dinner to be in front of me. The server delivering the plate left his thumb print on the edge of my bowl with some brown colored food/ trash. I pointed this out to my server who took his dirty apron and wiped the rim. I asked for a manager and although the plump manager was walking around laughing and rubbing on the female servers, he never made it to my table. I wasted $30.00 on a terrible meal & service. Pros: None- Used to be a nice place- Staff and management has ran into the ground! Cons: It was the worst dining experience of my life. I eat out 4 times a week and rate McD higher. more

What a lovely Breeze 6/9/2008

Bahama Breeze is a phenominal place for dining! From the authentic foods to the festive environment anyone is sure to feel as if they are in the carribean. Some nights you may be graced with live carribean music from a band or solo artist. I highly suggest that if you are in Atlanta, you check out Bahama Breeze, you'll love it! more

If you can get a table . . . 1/22/2008

If lively atmosphere matters to you, this is the place.. The prices may be slightly high, but you have to remember you are paying for the atmosphere, not the food. It's always extremely busy and crowded. I agree with the other review, I don't understand why this restaurant has so much hype around it. more

Great chain restaurant 10/23/2006

I don't usually like to eat at chain restaurants and almost always stick to locally owned places. I was pleasantly surprised when we took my mother here at her request. The food was good, the atmosphere was a little noisy but it is more of a family restaurant, service was good and the food was excellent! Pros: you can order light portions (which is plenty of food!) more

Why is this place so busy? 7/8/2006

I have never understood the attraction of the Bahamas Breeze franchise. Real Bahamian food, like I ate on my last trip to Nassau, is not to be found here. Service is slow, assuming you can get a table after your 1.5 hour wait. Drinks are small and expensive. The appetizers were good and spicy (although I do not like conch), but the meals were overpriced. I fail to see the attraction of this place. PROS: appetizers CONS: prices, service, wait time, you name it more

Carribean Magic in Georgia: 10/4/2005

Fine restaurant with good food and very good tropical drinks. Good for families as well. Upscale decor long waits on the weeend. Had a great pan seared tillapia one of the tastiest seafood dishes I have eaten. Nice presentation and good desserts. Pros: Good food, Great Tropical drinks Cons: Unpaved parking lot. more

A Fun Place with Great Caribbean Food 9/9/2005

I love the fun, tropical atmosphere at Bahama Breeze. The palm trees, dark woods, wicker, firepit, high ceilings and live Island music all add to the casual fun in the large dining rooms. We met three other couples the night we enjoyed our Caribbean adventure at Bahama Breeze. Featuring lots of coconut and spice, the Island inspired menu is full of a deliciously unique variety. From Island Onion Rings (coconut-breaded with chili-horseradish and citrus mustard dipping sauces) to Tostones con Pollo (home-fried plantains topped with chicken, mushrooms and cheese) to Fire-Roasted Jerk Shrimp (simmered in garlic-thyme butter with warm Cuban bread), our appetizers were all incredible! Our party of 8 feasted on Cuban black bean soup with yellow rice, Angel Hair Pomodoro, Calypso Shrimp Linguine, Oak-Grilled Sirloin Palomilla, Jamaican Grilled Chicken Breast, Chicken Santiago - and all were scrumptious! For dessert we indulged in key lime pie, pia colada bread pudding, Dulce de Leche che more

Paella! 10/18/2004

I've been to Bahama Breeze several times and have always gotten an appetizer and paella to share between the four of us. Nothing *completely* spectacular, but it is really good. They have a pretty good children's menu, too. Pros: large portions, great for kids Cons: , had to wait more

tropical 2/24/2004

I find this resturant to have a very good tropical vibe to it. They have more than one bar and great service. On the wrong day it can take a while to be seated but what resturant in the ATL isn't crowded on thier days. the music is something you can feel if you like the tropical vibe. The food is great. If you like coconut shrimp make sure you go there to try thiers. Pros: inexpensive, tropical vibe, spacious Cons: , not great for kids, crowded more

Breeze on By 10/28/2002

Not impressed with the food - my ""seafood"" salad had 3 scallops, 2 shrimp that hadn't been deveined, and an overflowing plate of lettuce for $13. Service was congenial although our glasses were empty and main course was not served all at the same time. BUT, it appears to be a fun place to drink. But, if I'm going to drink, it's not going to be in Duluth... Pros: looks like fun place, to drink with friends, Patio Cons: music too loud, a/c too cold, overpriced more

Cool Atmosphere 8/20/2002

I was really impressed with Bahama Breeze ever since my first visit there. It has an outside and inside sitting area and the outside sitting area is entertained by a live performer. The atmosphere makes you feel as though you are on an island with things such as palm trees. There food is absolutely delicious. It you decide to go you must try there onion rings. I think all of there drinks are good, each one is different with a different combination of fruits. Pros: Inexpensive, relaxing, entertaining Cons: crowded at times more

I felt like I was in Jamaica! 8/18/2002

A welcome breeze blows in! 8/1/2002

Finally a pleasant change from the tired ""bar and grill"" restaurants. Great drinks, even better food, live entertainment - a terrific night out or a good place for an flavorful, quality and inexpensive meal. Pros: Great food and drink, Great service, Entertainment Cons: Wait for a table, Can be noisy more
