They are not jovial or friendly or even particularly polite or respectful to customers; but I’ve come to accept that from businesses in this part of Florida. Yes, I understand they likely deal with numerous unruly customers, liars, and other assorted problems but I'm not convinced that gives them license to be generally disrespectful, discourteous, and generally unfriendly to customers.
Evidence exists of an unhappy working environment for the installers and other employees, who seem to regard those in charge with such contempt that I felt uncomfortable just BEING there. It makes me wonder how they remain in business; perhaps not enough competition?
This is important: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU TAKE YOUR CLASSIC CAR TO THEM FOR ANYTHING… They will cause minor damage to parts which you will not be able to find (except at great expense). They embody the worst nightmare a car collector can encounter, and they do not care... you are simply revenue to them.
Not only did they cause damage (broken plastic tabs on trim, stripped screws), but their installation work was barely passing at best, with loose fit and questionable alignment. I would have expected this type of workmanship from my local Wal-Mart or shade-tree installer from a Craigslist ad... but not from a place pretending to be professional.
The damage they did, although mostly hidden, is unacceptable. Even my request to mitigate the damage they did was met with cold disdain and allegations that I was lying about it. Disgusting.
BE WARNED: DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THEM UNLESS YOU’RE WILLING TO ACCEPT DAMAGE (WHICH THEY WILL DENY THEY CAUSED). It’s just not worth the conflict.
