Lacks customer service. Rude management/owner. Not a fun or good experience. First impression 3D ultrasound is a better place to go.

I have already emailed my friends and "Liked" this on Facebook. If you are pregnant, you have to see your baby at this theater. Just wish they had popcorn! :) more

Great Experience Every Time 4/1/2011

Today was our third experience with the Alpharetta location of Baby's First Images. We have never had anything less than a fantastic experience. Our last two appointments were short 10 minute quickies to find out the gender of our boys. This past appointment, we went all out and got the complete package. After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned that we may run into issues this time around. Instead, we were met by a warm, welcoming staff. They took their time with us, answered all of our questions and even watched our son when he became a little rambunctious so that my husband could continue to view the ultrasound. We received everything we were promised and family in four different states were able to watch with us via the Sonoview website with no glitches. We will definitely recommend BFI to all of our family and friends. more

I have read the negative postings on here and frankly the reason I came back here to post was because the mother in front of me at checkout the day of our appointment was so rude complaining that she was going to come here and post negative things. All because her baby did not cooperate and she demanded free services. Our experience was great even though we did not get "perfect" images, but we knew that going into it because their website explains this. Still we got to spend time with our baby and the images were very good. I felt so bad for the receptionist. And their Redo policy is more than generous to come back for a second session so I just couldn't sit back and let this lady (or these others) bad mouth this company. This was probably the best "pregnancy" experience my husband and I have had that allows us to experience the baby together. I would highly recommend doing this! more

Amazing Experience!!! 2/21/2011

The place was amazing. They have a huge theater as the ultrasound room. The Alpharetta facility was a beautiful upscale building and with quaility decor. They have thought of everything from DVD/CD copiers for our family to get copies of the video/pictures, online baby album, the even offer a service that had our session broadcasted to my husbands parent's computer in Nevada. We will be back and feel very comfortable referring my friends. more

The best expericence ever!!!!! 2/6/2011

First off, our baby was one of those baby's that was not cooperating, but this is ultrasound and we realize that we cannot control our baby. But they did let us come back and do another whole session and we only had to pay s small $25 sitting fee instead of the full $150 the first time. That's fair. But, the second time the baby cooperated much better and my husband and I were able to see our baby move and behave just as if we were holding her. It is so life like and we are just so amazed. The staff was awesome and friendly. I dont know how you could ask for any nicer people. more

Horrible Experience! 1/28/2011

My husband and I went to the Alpharetta location. We had signed up for the gender determination package initially. When we got there, the receptionist talked us into upgrading our package to get the 3D and 4D pictures. As a first time mother, I was very excited to find out what we were having and to see pictures of our baby. We also signed up for an extra $7 to have our session available online so that my parents in NY would be able to see. Unfortunately, the technician was not able to determine the gender of the baby. They state on their website that it is rare that they cannot tell gender. I was under the impression that if they could not tell us, they would allow us to come back for free. That is not true. Since we had already paid over $100 for our session and received nothing (no gender, or pictures), we rescheduled for the following week....for another $25 and having to again pay a fee of $7 if our family was to see it online. When we got there the second time, the receptionist said they were running behind. When we finally got in, (we were supposed to get 10-15 minutes) she once again could not tell us the gender. There is no way that we were in there for 15 minutes. For it being "rare" that they cannot tell the gender, it's funny how it happened to me twice! So after two visits, we still did not know the gender and had paid $150. They told us that there was nothing they could do. After all that money, we didn't know anything more than we did before making the appointments. I left feeling miserable and in tears. What should have been a very special time for me and my husband was not. The 1st technician and receptionist were rude and unsympathetic. We ended up going to another ultrasound studio and were amazed at the difference in atmosphere, their willingness to spend time with us, cost and how we were treated. If you live in the North GA area, you will have a much better experience if you go to Window's to the Womb in Cumming, GA. I would not recommend Baby's First Images to anyone and I will most definitely never go back. more

We never even made it to the appointment before we were mistreated by the owner/manager Chris Waddell. Made an appointment inside the 48 hour cancellation window, cancelled the appt an hour later and were charged 50 dollars, plus tax!! When I called to see if there was anything that could be done I was treated like garbage by this inconsiderate ***hole. Anyone who treats pregnant women like this should NOT be making any money off them. Luckily our bank is confident that the disputed charges will be returned to us. Save your money and time and go somewhere else or bypass it altogether. Based on the reviews on this site if you want a pleasant experience go to the one in IL. stay away from the one in GA. we will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well, not that it will do anything. more

TERRIBLE! Rude Owner! 10/18/2010

The owner/manager is completely pathetic. I can't believe he would think of talking to a 7 month pregnant women this way! Terrible customer service!! Don't EVER give this company your business!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Read all the terrible reviews on this place.... I WISH that I would have......Also, the "manager" that called me wouldn't even tell me his name. That's what a coward he is! After reading all the reviews I KNOW that it was this "Chris Waddell" guy who has business ALL WRONG!Good luck to you Chris, sleep well at night after treating so many people so poorly! Both my husband and I are business owners and are shaking our heads....We will pray for you to become a better person. . more

Total Nightmare 9/22/2010

Wow, you would not beleive how bad the clarity was of our pictures. Forget scheduling a "REDO", only after filing a complaint with BBB was I offered a discount on a next visit. While also filing a visa dispute I was banned from the facility. Save yourself a headache and go ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Horrible customer service and the owner/manager is pathetic. more

We were not happy with our images. They were blurry and of bad quality. We said we wanted to retake the images and the owner said " no way. You can pay the full fee and reschedule". After yelling at me, he proceeded to hang up on me. I disputed the charge with Visa and they credited my account. No way was this jerk getting a dime from me. I booked an appt last minute. The staff was very nice. The office person took her time while I shuffled thru pics to choose for printing. Never felt rushed. Less than a week later my disc was stolen among other things. I called the office and they had another disc printed for me and ready for me to pick up. Always pleasant when I called. more

Inconsiderate, poor customer service 2/11/2010

My wife was scheduled for her fourth appointment at the Alpharetta, GA location on Feb 13, 2009. Around noon on the 12th, it started snowing in northern Georgia. My wife called to reschedule the appointment due to the high likelyhood of excessive ice on the road and warnings from the DOT to stay off of the roads. She was told there would be a 50 dollar fee for missing the 25 dollar appointment. Also, she was told that if the tech can come in, she should be able to come in too. I called back to let them know that this was unacceptable, to which the man on the other end of the phone, who identified himself as the owner of the company, told me there was nothing he could do about it. To me, a 4 time repeat customer who has recommended the business multiple times should be treated better than that by the "owner." Babies First Images will never be getting any other business from me or anyone I know. I think the recommendation from a business someone in another state that goes against the recommendations of the state DOT is irresponsible and dangerous, and I assumed customer satisfaction and return business was worth more than $50. I called to schedule an appointment because their online scheduling didn't seem to be working properly. The man who answered the phone was amazingly rude to me. He tried his best to assure me I was an idiot and computer illiterate and that there couldn't possibly be an error within their system. What ever happened to the customer is always right policy?? I am very computer savvy I work with computers all day and I KNOW I can book a simple appointment online. I would not pay these people one red cent or share such a miraculous moment with these jerks. Ultrasound tech was certified and I'm sure had learned OB in school - but had not done OB ultrasound in years- very inexperienced - horrible pics because of that. Rude Owner!!! 11/14/2009

So I had a session at the location in Alpharretta. My sister and I arranged for family to meet at her home to be able to view the session live. Well, none of them got to view it because there is a special number or something that is needed and the location did not have that. They said she would have to contact customer service to resolve on her own! So that put a damper on it for us but we continued with our appointment. When we got the images up at the end of the session to choose from - they were very unclear. I was told I could reschedule if I did not like them for an additional $25 so long as it was within a 3 week time frame. I set up the appointment but said I had an event and may need to change the time. I was told I could do it up to 24 hours prior to the session. I called when I realized that I had to reschedule the time - for the same day. It was all fine and settled. However, I received a phone call from Chris Waddell - the owner stating they could not accommodate that time due to a tech calling out and being unable to get another tech in to service me that would stay until the later appointment. Or my other option was to keep my first appointment or come the following day. Which I could not do because I had a baby shower. I was upset because I paid $100 for the first session and needed the photos done on a weekend and I really wanted to have them prior to me heading to Florida to see my family since they were unable to view the first time around. I was upset. This man was so rude and acted like he was doing me a "favor" by allowing me to retake the photos in the first place! I was like "no - it is a policy of your's" he got upset at that and became rude and offensive. He had heard a crying child - not even mine - in the background - and told me in a very rude tone that the baby needed to be taken care of and he was going to hang up and call me back so I could tend the the baby. I was dumbfounded to say the least. I asked for a refund and he actually compared himself to a doctor saying that if I was not satisfied with the delivery of my child - I would still have to pay! I asked him to waive the $25 fee since I had to now either miss or be late to my friend's babyshower and he said no. He told me during one point in the conversation that he was "not enjoying the conversation" I again was shocked. He called me and because he couldn't with all his trained staff - accommodate a paying customer that keeps his company in business - because I was not jumping on the chance to reschedule - he turned arrogant and rude! I then explained my experience and how my family was not able to view the photos - which he then responded that he had nothing to do with it because that was a different company! I pointed out the fact that it was a company that he promoted on his website and to the viewer of the website it is a service that his company offers!!! This guy has not one clue on customer relations! I did reschedule and was late to my friend's shower. I was told he was the only one who did this in the area and so he didn't have to refund anything - pretty much like a f-you attitude from him. My second experience was better as far as images but it was not something I was looking forward to as he just put a bad taste in my mouth. I could have not gone but then I would have lost all that money and I did not want to walk out of this experience - a bad one - with a bad taste and nothing to show for it. I have to say I was very calm and collected and his tone at times was almost comical to me. He has a lot of nerve to call someone who is pregant and pretty much talk down on them. I would not refer anyone to him and since I do own a boutique in the area - I will make sure I spread the word of my personal experience. Yes, there are 2 sides - however, I think pretty much anyone who has come in contact with him from this forum has had the same experience so you be the judge - just beware!!! more

Bad service... Rushed... 11/6/2009

If they had a zero rating I would give it to them. I just purchased the gender determination services because i planned to go back later and do the 3d/4d later. The first appointment they barely took any time to do it and they said they couldnt determine the gender. IThe time says 10 to 15 min. Try about 4. I asked if they wanted me to turn so they could see it better and they lady refused. Although I know moving will turn the baby. The website says free redo if unsuccesful. They made me pay for my first visit and scheduled the redo. My redo the ultrasound tech was really trying because she could have gotten it. The baby was in the correct position but then turned while she was looking for the heart beat. She was trying and even got me to turn this time. Right as the baby turned into the correct position the secretary came in and said my time was up. an entire 10 mins and that I would have to reschedule. They told me I only get one free redo and I would have to pay again. Even though the week before I asked what happens if they cant determine the sex ands the lady said they would keep redoing it. They also must not care that much about timing because the two times i went i waited over 30 mins to be seen. I burst into tears because we had driven 2 hours twice and they could care less to give us the time of day. They are not that much cheaper than a doctors office. Many of them offer the 3d.4d. services and you can get an early elective ultrasound for the the gender. the doctors will take more time and help the baby turn. The sad thing is that if they would of taken there time they would have gotten more money from me when I came to do the 3d.4d. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR PRECIOUS MOMENT. A Great Experience !!! 8/26/2009

We went to the Naperville, IL location and had a great time. This is our 5th child and had never done this before. The tech explained everything to us including what we were looking at. She was very kind to all our guests and even the little kids that were with us, even though they asked a thousand questions !! I came in at 16 wks 2 days to find out the gender and within 5 minutes we found out we are having another BOY ! We are planning on come back so we can see our little boy and his chubby cheeks !! Thank you so much !!! Pros: Very nice staff, clean environment. Cons: none more

Better off someplace else 8/14/2009

I went to the Naperville, IL location for this ultrasound. Being my second pregnancy, I had already experienced this procedure and was familiar with the whole deal. I have to say, it was terrible. We arrived the recommended 30 minutes prior to our appointment because on their website and through their e-mails they state over and over again that if you are late to your appointment, you will loose your slot and be fined a $50 fee. Well, apparently they are full of it because once we arrived, we learned that they were a good hour behind due to their first appointment ARRIVING LATE. The waiting room was packed and horribly cramped, but seeing how we had driven an hour to get there, we decided to wait it out and continue on with our appointment. The 3D procedure itself was rushed and terribly uncomfortable with a table that was more or less a slab. With my first child we went to a clinic in South Elgin (not the same company) and it was amazing, the table was large and plush to completely support you during the ultrasound and when your baby wasn't cooperating, the technician knew just how to position you to make it work. And the pictures they captured with my first child were amazing! Hands, feet, face, you name it. This place, the technician didn't try to position me at all, she just rushed rushed rushed (because they were still behind) and only focused on the baby's hidden face. No hands, no feet, nothing. She didn't try to lay me on my side or reposition me to get a better look, but assured me that I could come back again...at an additional cost. Wow, what a deal. The only reason I went to this place for this pregnancy was because they were less expensive than the place I went to before. Looks like I got what I paid for.
