My wife and I really enjoy shopping at Babyland! They are always super friendly and helpful! They always seem to have what we're looking for, and, more importantly, answers to our questions. We highly recommend checking them out for nursery furniture and baby gear! more

We bought a crib online from another store to save money. When it arrived, it was not the kind of quality we expected based on the info provided. Plus, it came in with a cracked side. We could not get anyone form the website on the phone and after days of emailing they finally responded by directing us to the manufacturer. We could not get anyone from DaVinci on the phone either, and finally filled out their online request form. Turns out that they will send the part for free, but we would have to pay shipping! Fed up, we decided to return the crib entirely, and the website charged us shipping both ways and a 15% restocking fee! What an expensive mistake that turned out to be!\r \r On a happy note, we finally went back to Babyland and ended up with a Baby's Dream Infinity crib for not much more money than we originally paid for that junky DaVinci cirb (about $80 more). In the end it was money well spent. Babyland answered all our questions, and helped us find a better mission style crib more

My husband and I just had our first baby, and we have spent lots of time at Babyland. The staff is very friendly and they really seem to know what they're talking about. We had a baby registry with them, and even though most of our family was out of state, it was a great experience. We bought our furniture set here as well - we have been really happy with the set so far, and have spent MANY hours in our glider! Their prices seem to be really reasonable when we were shopping around - and for first time parents, they offer much more than the big department stores since they actually can answer your questions! We also really love that they're locally owned! more

Even though Champaign doesn't have a lot of options to purchase baby items, I will never again shop here. Their prices are too high, and the sales staff are rude. I don't mind paying more when the customer service is good, but when the staff is unfriendly and rude, there is no excuse to shop there. I had heard several horror stories about Babyland and thought I'd still give it a try. I wish I would've heeded the advice from my friends and co-workers. more

By far, the WORST customer service EVER! If you are planning on registering or purchasing any item from Babyland in Savoy, do yourself a favor and run the other way as fast as you can. I was in the store trying to register for my baby shower and winessed an employee (I think he may have been the manager) absolutely berate and humiliate a customer who was trying to make a return. I didn't hear their entire conversation, (I couldn't help but notice because he was raising his voice at her) It seemed like she was trying to return something. I don't know what this lady's story was, but there is no excuse for the way this man was treating her. I have worked in retail and realize that some customers can be difficult, but he obviously has no idea how to do business. I've never written a review about a place in my life, but I can't help but want to spread the word after what I witnessed. I wish there were a larger forum to warn mothers about this retailer - but please know I strongly recommend shopping ANYWHERE else but here. I purchased a very expensive jogging stroller a couple months before I was able to use it (winter). As soon as I got it out on the street, I realized I was pushing a deathtrap. The stroller TIPPED on a dime - scary. I went back to Baby Land and Jason (the GM) LAUGHED at me when I told him that I wanted to return the stroller. He was smug, rude and treated me with grave disrespect. I called the manufacturer - who was wonderful. They said they would take care of it, but I would have to return it through Baby Land. They told Jason (at BL) they would pay to ship it back and give him ALL his money back. He told them he would do NOTHING. I went to talk to Jason directly and try to understand why he wouldn't extend me (the customer) the same courtesy that the mfg was offering him? I was pleasantly surprised by their prices and service while recently shipping for a new Maclaren umbrella stroller. I had been shopping online comparing models and checking out all the different color options and found Babyland as a local dealer (the next closest was Chicago!). While they had quite a few models and patterns in stock, they didn't have the print I wanted. So they ordered it in for me at no extra charge. It arrived in less than a week, so I couldn't have gotten it any faster online and Babyland's prices were just as low as anything I saw online anyway. Best of all I was able to still get the best deal and support a local shop. They also said they will assist with warranty work and took my information so they could notify me if there is ever a recall. What awesome service! Good luck getting all that from an online store. The owners opened this store so after they had their first child and discovered that the local selection of baby items was very scarce. They did not like having to shop on the internet or drive far to make purchases. This store has a lot of good qualities - excellent customer service, good selection (everything from cribs, dressers, rockering chairs, strollers, highchairs, toys, bedding, ect.), and knowledgable staff. They also provide gift registry services. They are continually expanding their selection and are willing to work with you to get exactly what you need. more
