Babe's is a great addition to the dining choices in the outer Cape. It's friendly and unpretentious, and the food is carefully and and imaginatively prepared. The cooking is Turkish/North African in its origins, but the chef has clearly put his own mark on the dishes. My group shared some appetizers and meze--we liked it all but fought over the last dips of muhammara (a somewhat spicy dip of ground nuts, red peppers flavored with pomegranate molasses) and hummous. The meatballs were also outstanding. Main courses were tasty and substantial--we had several kinds of kebabs (lamb, chicken, tuna); all were very good but maybe the chicken was the most striking. The tagines (vegetable and chicken with preserved lemons) were well-done, with very flavorful couscous.
Pros: Great food; easy to park; friendly reception and service
