We used to go to their old location often. It was a charming, quiet little place and the food and service were always great. The new location is lovely, but all hard surfaces and the open kitchen make it very loud. However, the kicker was when my friend ordered a mojito. They didn't have any mint, so they put lemon basil in the drink! Needless to say, it was awful, like liquid pesto. We sent it back and we saw someone leave and come back a few minutes later with a bag from the HEB across the street. Apparently they sent someone out to buy mint. They remade the drink but it was still terrible--really sour and undrinkable. They should have just told us they didn't know how to make a mojito so we could have ordered something else.
The waiter kept talking to us constantly about his personal life. I like a friendly waiter, but this one just kept interrupting our conversation and going on about himself--can you say boundaries?
The food was just okay, not nearly as good as it used to be. I don't know why a move of a few blocks should have made such a difference, but it did.
I recently heard they closed because of ""lease negotiations"". Yeah, right. Maybe it's because their reputation is shot and the customers are staying away in droves.
Pros: Decor
Cons: Service, bar, noise
