The cost is too high. You have to be a member of the church to be on benevolence. The counselors I have seen there are very helpful and kind, but the front desk people are not helpful and they should be more compassionate. I just need help and they are rude and snobby. When you go in somewhere and you want help, it does not help that the receptionist are rude. I hope that someone there reads this and does something about it....\r I went back and the front desk was more helpful, they did agree to let me pay 40 a visit for four visits. Then regular price. If I joined the church it would be cheaper. I have found an amazing counseling center in hendersonville called the Fresh Start Resources. They actually charge 30 for each visit but if you can not pay you can volunteer. I encourage everyone to check it out!!! They are so helpful. If I ever have money I will give it to this place!!!!! I can not begin to share my appreciation for the professional, caring manner shown by the therapists at Babb Center since we began attending therapy there. The Christain approach to the sensitive subjects for which we sought help lead us to the Babb Center. They saved our lives! We have a future that offers hope and optimism because we were assisted in acquiring skills to cope with the burdens we carried. What a wonderful place to fall when our lives needed support. Several months ago, I contacted the counselor who was supposed to be seeing my children. Because I do not have custody of them, he would not agree to meet with me (their father) as part of their intake. Logic would dictate that he would want a complete view of the problems with our children, but that has not happened. There is a court order that requires the counselor to provide timely written updates on the progress of the children, yet he is not adhering to the order. It has now been over three months and I have still not received any information about the emotional and psychological health of my children. Cons: Incomplete data prior to working with clients. Failure to adhere to court requirements. Condescending attitude toward others. more
